I have just realized that it was down to this tweet, hundreds of articles had surfaced and been twisted due to a positive tweet from the man, maybe its best that he does not single out players, instead just comment on the teams performance.
This is the problem. There's no issue with Henry speaking to the fans, it's just that when he does so on Twitter, you're just inviting some work hungry journalist to extrapolate your 140 word message into a page long article.
I trust he won't put his foot in it too much on there, he seems a clever enough bloke. All he did was praise two of our current squad!
He definitely shouldn't ever lose that connection with the fans, whether or not he keeps tweetering. When it comes down to it, as Bill Shankly said, the directors are just there to sign the cheques, but keeping the fans informed when they need to be, and communicating with them on things like how the club should progress, that is a good thing to keep up.
