It might be a bad idea for others involved in sports, but let's face it he's no idiot. He's not going to make any stupid faux-pas, plus, he gave Acquilani (;)) a good recommendation. Hope he meant it, because it'll be hard to sell him against the big guy's wishes.

i dont think it would matter if he liked a player, if kenny didnt fancy them i think he would accept his judgement..

I have just realized that it was down to this tweet, hundreds of articles had surfaced and been twisted due to a positive tweet from the man, maybe its best that he does not single out players, instead just comment on the teams performance.

This is the problem. There's no issue with Henry speaking to the fans, it's just that when he does so on Twitter, you're just inviting some work hungry journalist to extrapolate your 140 word message into a page long article.

I trust he won't put his foot in it too much on there, he seems a clever enough bloke. All he did was praise two of our current squad!

He definitely shouldn't ever lose that connection with the fans, whether or not he keeps tweetering. When it comes down to it, as Bill Shankly said, the directors are just there to sign the cheques, but keeping the fans informed when they need to be, and communicating with them on things like how the club should progress, that is a good thing to keep up.

In future maybe he will praise the team as a whole, but yes i agree, it is important he continues to show interest in regards to the fans and the players, it shows a real togetherness of a club, representing us rightly as a family.

Truth be told, that's no different to how it's been in the past.  If a journalist/publication has an agenda, they'll continue to push it regardless. We're well used to it by now, we know which people form their opinions based on the media rather than the facts, let them continue to do so.

As for Henry tweeting, I don't give a sh*t either way.  Personally, I like them more than I dislike them but I wouldn't lose sleep if he decided to stop.

Love his tweets. First thing I do every morning is check if he's made any new tweets.

It shows that he's fully interested in the club and learning as much as he can about football. The old two hadn't a clue what football was.

      Keep it up John!
