Chelsea boss Roberto Di Matteo believes the Premier League has reached a "common sense" decision regarding Sunday's handshakes with QPR.

Premier League rules require both teams to shake hands as part of the pre-match routine for all top-flight fixtures.

But the situation is complicated on Sunday when Chelsea host QPR at Stamford Bridge.

Blues skipper John Terry is facing court proceedings over an allegation of racial abuse towards Anton Ferdinand in the reverse fixture at Loftus Road in October. Terry denies the charge.

The two teams have faced each other in an FA Cup tie since, for which the Football Association decided to skip the handshake rituals.

And the Premier League has reached the same conclusion - a decision which Chelsea's interim manager feels is a good one.

Didn't Terry, for e.g., shake Sanchez's hand before cowardly kneeing him in the back? The handshake means F**k all, is a waste of time and serves no purpose given that no-one, with an ounce of common sense, buys into that P.R. sh*t anyhow.
