      Rangers in English football?
      Jul 07, 2012 03:22:40 pm
It seems Rangers are deciding between life in Scots Div 3, or the English Conference (North presumably).

If they choose the conference it will probably mean the death knell for Scots football without Ranger's gate money, so we may then have Celtic joining English footy too.

      Is this good or bad?
Do we fancy trips to Glasgow in 5 years time?
Who will replace Scots fixtures on the Littlewoods coupon?

Cant see them ever being voted in.

Like Turkeys voting for Christmas.. One team will immediately suffer by dropping out of a league to accomodate them and other may in the future..

Plymouth or Exeter away at Rangers? Costs would be too much for them and the fans.

IF it happened i dont see it being a 5 year progress either, yes they have a big fan base but how many would be that bothered with trips down to the conference sides or league two... And even at home its not exactly mouthwatering.. They would get no slice of the tv pie until they reached at least the championship... No big named players will play for them in the Conference... And money wise they wouldnt be able to attract anyone much better than that level..

Let them stay where they are.

I'd let the start in the Championship both them and Celtic and send Leeds and Huddersfield to the Faroe Islands, seems fair all round to me!

Me neither, based mostly on all the sectarian sh*te that we see all the time. We don't need that dragged into our leagues.

Absofuckinglutely. Filthy chants and actions are common (but thankfully in a minority) but the sort that is bandied around Celtic and Rangers is all too common.

Secondly Rangers can try and rebuild their reputation from the very bottom of Scottish football for all I care. I have no favourites between them and Celtic (I find it disgusting that while they can work together in financial and competitive terms to make sure the pair of them always dominated Scottish football they couldn't use that relationship to sort out the putrid sectarianism between them) but Rangers deserve everything they got. It was a shocking and horrific way of running a football club and at the same time deceiving and CHEATING their fellow competitors. They are a disgrace.

Rangers to Division 3. Every other Saturday one if Scotland's smaller towns will get to learn what life was like in the time of the Vikings.

If Welsh clubs are allowed in the Premier league, than why not Scottish clubs?

I used to live in Scotland mate, plus back in the day I was a former Rangers youth team player. I spent a couple years coaching for them too. So I feel some connection with Rangers Football Club.

I made the trip down here for personal reasons.

I have been to plenty of Old Firm derbies, and Rangers fans are much better behaved than Celtic fans.
