Think because of the pace of Kone we could see Skrtel back in the side.

I'd stick with Lucas and Gerrard for the first hour however if its still 0-0 or we go behind get Jordan on to replace Lucas.

11 games to go, let's play with some freedom and challenge ourselves to get 33 points, starting today, there is no other competition to distract us. I actually think a side like Wigan is made for our current style of play, as they are unlikely to bully and harass us.

This is probably the kind of side against which Allen will actually have the time he needs on the ball, and I think it'll be a good match to enjoy as a red,  I predict a few goals here, 1-3/2-4.

Today, we need a win, if we are to acheive Europian competition we need to start playing like we know we can - and getting some momentum for next season... Im going 2 - 1 to us, however I would like to see a strong 6 - 1 backlash after going out of the Europa.

Still trying to decide whether to go to this if I can pay on the gate    I finish work at 5pm so should have time to get to Wigan from Wrightington in time for kick off.

I might even get to see the lads again if they come to the hotel where I work before the game.  They usually come for lunch if it's an evening kick off 

So we need the same mentality as the Zenit game and we should have too much for them.  Looking forward to seeing Coutinho and Sturridge play again and after last nights performance hopefully Teixeira will be in the squad.

And that is a strong lineup.

And yeah, I'm pretty confident now that we can absolutely hammer them. Wigan attempt to play a relegation-style passing game that's only just kept them up over the past few seasons.

They have little-to-no penetration in the final third and rely on pace to try and get the ball through on the wings. And that's where they'll get caught-out, because our full-backs are definitely no slouches.

Go all out right from the start, we need an early goal as always to set the mood of the game, need to finish as high up the table as possible, taking one game at a time and this one is the most important at the moment.

Talk of Sturridge being out which if thats true is a shame, but we should have enough in our tank to beat these, I won't say comfortably, but we should get the win none the less.

Seems like forever since we played, will be great to see the lads out there again. Obviously a must win and coming on the back of a very important result for Wigan they'll be on top of their game.

Thankfully think this is one of the games that should suit our style, Wigan don't really know how to defend too well and their style is more based around their attacking football. I feel our class should be far too strong for them and we'll simply out play them at their own game. Should be a good chance for a few lads to shine and I expect nothing but a comfortable victory.

That but would put Skrtel ahead of Carra for this one. Kone can hurt us with pace

Carra can deal with pace. He dealt with Walcott and Hulk very well.

If we can keep a clean sheet, and I have every confidence we will for some reason, we will win this by a good margin. Carra deserves his place, despite his Europa hiccup, we need him to keep the defence organised  .

Can't see anything other than a win. Go at them from the off, get and early goal (correction, and early couple of goals  ), and settle in to a rhythm  . Piece of cake really
