I like how the SFA shift any of their own responsibility for the whole mess onto a club without a pot to piss in.

NHS , MPs and tax fiddles , Simon Cowell , Prince Harry has had a sh*t haircut ,all worthy of a front page in Scotlands press over the last 3 months , funny how the same in depth investigation has not been applied to ÂŁ75 million pounds worth of the UK tax  money being
misappropriated by a corrupt football organisation.

The 12 month transfer ban seems harsh. That will affect the new owners whoever they turn out to be and the mismanagement that has been going on there won't be of their doing.

Glasgow Rangers Football Club is in the process of being  investigated for irregularities and misappropriation of funds to the tune of over ÂŁ75 million pounds, liquidation as an outcome is a view held by many ,the latest punishment handed out on the footballing side however  by an SFA panel was a 12 month ban on signings , fans and management alike thought the punishment  far to severe some even thinking that it could finish Rangers as a club in Scottish football .
When asked about the latest decision  manager Ally McCoist was quoted as saying  that the people on the panel should be named,
which in turn ended up with Strathclydes finest getting involved after  panel members were named on internet sites .

Read on it just gets worse and worse.

I think you will find HMRC are the money men they  got a very , very red face when "Arry" walked ,it isnt going to happy with Rangers .
As for the honest paying supporters ,their clubs shat all over them nobody else.

"Rangers FC is in serious danger of being liquidated because they have lived beyond their means for far too long, in the process distorting the market in Scotland for over 20 years .
It has abused the tax system to give itself an unfair sporting advantage over the rest of the clubs in the SPL.
It has bought players from other clubs it could not afford to pay for and had no intention of ever paying for .
The Scottish sporting establishment, governing bodies and media, want everything possible to be done to facilitate Rangers,
who have destroyed the sporting integrity of the Scottish game, escaping the consequences of their self-inflicted troubles."

The Daily Record or The Daily Ranger as its known up here has come away with this article written  by Mark Hately a former Rangers player.
Now the press have not exactly been jumping all over this with their usual exuberance ,why because of the subject matter RFC.
Read his article then the comments at the bottom then tell me your thoughts.
I have  listened to both the Glasgow clubs pish for over 40 years I am biased towards them , I see no difference between either the sooner they both  f**k off the better ,Scottish football would die some would say I dont think so, we would  find our own level not great but thats  fine by me , not interested one iota in theses cancers.

The article above in bold  or the Hately revue you decide whats a true reflection

Similar situations over the last few years  :

Portsmouth were hit with a transfer embargo from the Premier League for failing to pay money owed to other clubs.

Coventry City were hit with a transfer embargo for failing to file their accounts in time.

Birmingham were hit with a transfer embargo for failing to file their accounts in time.

Cardiff City were hit with a transfer embargo due to a delay in paying debts, including ÂŁ1.3m owed to HM Revenue and Customs.

Port Vale have been put under a transfer embargo by the Football League because of unpaid bils

Wycombe Wanderers have been placed under a transfer embargo after failing to file their accounts on time.

Swiss league ban 4 teams due to money reasons

Why should Rangers be any different?????

Scottish football is already shocking. If they lose Rangers than the SPL will lose any chance of growing, or even being a decent spectacle.

So do you just right of ÂŁ75 + Million with there there there .
Now if it happened in The Premiership and Man Utd were the culprit I think this forum would be in meltdown 20 years of theft ,cups, relegating teams, European games ,weakening teams buying players when you didnt have the cash, a league and life still on the never never ,
while your clubs paying your dues in a correct and professional manner your losing ,getting rammed week in week out the media doesn't tell how it is just what its told to say.

From The Scotsman Newspaper one of the few giving a true reflection of this situation

Glenn Gibbons: McCoist and Smith fail to see true Ibrox saboteurs

      Published on Saturday 28 April 2012 03:57

FOR someone who is possibly the oldest rookie manager in the history of the game, Ally McCoist this week gave a flawless impersonation of an impulsive, vengeful and nasty-minded adolescent.

Notoriety attached itself to the former striker with the suddenness and potential devastation of a pernicious virus the moment he demanded the release of the names of the three-man independent review panel who imposed sanctions on Rangers in accordance with the seriousness of the Ibrox club’s breaches of football’s regulations.

The suspicion that his disturbingly sinister outburst – “I want to know who these people are, Rangers supporters want to know who these people are” – was a prime example of premeditated mischief-making did not take long to harden into certainty. It came with the revelation of an SFA spokesperson that the supposedly bemused manager would undoubtedly already have known the identities of the judges, since Rangers had a representative attend the entire judicial proceedings.

At a stroke, McCoist’s long-established image as an ebullient and irrepressible charmer was transformed into a hideous representation of spiteful retribution. Nor did the damage inflicted on his own reputation come anywhere near to being undone by his declaration the following day that he was “disgusted” by the thought of any Rangers fan visiting abuse on the panel members and issuing threats against them and their families so distressing that the police began investigations with a view to criminal charges.

“I would not for one moment want anyone to interpret my remarks as a signal to engage in any form of threatening behaviour,” he said. The picture of a stable door being bolted while, in the background, a horse at the gallop disappears over the horizon springs to mind.

It was noticeable, too, that McCoist’s attempt at a “rescue” did not even hint at the possibility of culpability on his part, far less an apology to the panellists and their distraught families.

He may be relatively inexperienced in his present post, but he has been in professional football for 33 years, all but a handful of them in association with Rangers. In the circumstances, he would, unquestionably, be perfectly aware of the potential for appalling behaviour among certain followers of the club.

If nothing else, he ought surely to have been familiar with the regularly-documented and legally-pursued instances of assaults, abuses, threats and attempts on the life of his rival at Celtic, Neil Lennon.

But McCoist’s injudiciousness simply chimes with the general transformation of Rangers over the past two decades from a trophy-gathering phenomenon into a magnet for bad management. The series of saboteurs ranges from David Murray, whose ego-driven excesses should be recognised as the single most significant factor in Rangers’ present predicament, through the questionable motives and actions of his successor, Craig Whyte, to the representatives of Duff & Phelps, now widely regarded as the most incompetent administrators ever to be charged with righting a listing football club.

Astoundingly, Murray seems still to command the loyalty of a reliable band of apologists, among whom his former manager, Walter Smith, may be understandably – and even forgivably – numbered.

But the attempts in certain quarters of the media to present a revisionist view of history – one in which Murray is totally exculpated in the matter of Rangers’ potentially fatal wounding – have been utterly shameless. It is as though the former owner/chairman, who is officially dead where football is concerned, continues to exert an influence on his former lapdogs from beyond the grave.

Smith’s recent exercise in condemning Whyte was such an example of unadulterated propaganda, complete with see-through inaccuracies, that it was easy to wonder if we were playing the old time machine game, returning to the Murray heyday.

Having expressed bewilderment over the speed with which Rangers seemed to have descended into penury, Smith insisted that he had, at the end of last season, left “a debt-free club” that was on a sound financial footing. Staggeringly, he insisted that the extravagances of the Murray tenure were an irrelevance.

“You can make your own judgment on what happened before,” said Smith, “but the fact is none of that mattered. In May of last year, all of that had disappeared.”

Well, all of it except the ÂŁ18 million of bank debt that had been transferred to Whyte, the admitted ÂŁ4.2 million bill known as the wee tax case, the millions owed to clubs in Scotland, England and Europe for a variety of reasons, plus a lengthy list of creditors from ancillary trades.

There was also, of course, the spectre of the big tax case, which could yield a further liability of upwards of ÂŁ70 million.

To paraphrase John Cleese in Monty Python’s Life of Brian, “apart from that, what harm did David Murray ever do Rangers?”

As if Murray and Whyte were not enough for one benighted club to take, the administrators have, since their arrival, proved about as helpful as gatecrashers. Consultation with an array of qualified people in the financial and legal professions has confirmed that none has ever heard of a period of administration that has not produced a single redundancy.

What it has brought is further haemorrhaging, to the tune of £2.5 million in the first two months of the Duff & Phelps stewardship. Now the administrators, who seem not to have complied with even one of their own “final and binding” deadlines since they took the wheel on 14 February, are making confident noises about winning an appeal against the sentence of the judicial panel. Their optimism reportedly based on encouraging (private) words from the SFA chief executive, Stewart Regan.

Maybe Regan didn’t want to spoil the moment with a reminder that any appeals panel will also be independent. And quite beyond his influence.

I think on Monday Scottish football could be finished ,votes on the Rangers saga comes to a head with the SPL teams casting votes ,the story below tells me sporting integrity and fare play no longer exists in Scottish football.

      We can’t kick Rangers out

KILMARNOCK chairman Michael Johnston admits that SPL clubs can’t afford to kick Rangers out.

Johnston, the first top-flight chief to go public, said: “Members see the commercial benefits of having Rangers, even as a newco.

“The clubs are mindful of a sporting integrity aspect but the commercial benefits may outweigh that.”

But Johnston says he wants more clarity of preferred bidder Bill Miller’s plans.

The SPL delayed a vote on new financial fair play rules until tomorrow and Johnston added: “We need more talks before we can move on.

“There are still lots of discussions to be had with the SPL and with Bill Miller over his plans.

“We need more clarity on his plan and how it will be structured.”

A reasoned breakdown  following this statement.

Just heard that The Miller deal fell through because of threats from so called Gers supporters, he was also supposed to say that the financial position of Rangers is irreversible in his opinion.

To be fair a number of Rangers fans sung anti David Murray songs at the Motherwell game. People like ex chairman Alistair Johnson are priceless with their endless criticism of the people involved when he was a the helm during the period of chaos. He should try looking in the mirror once or twice. The scotsman atricle in my opinion is a hatchet job especially towards Mccoist, it was only right the panel members were named as in the Suarez/Case. Walter Smith spent the money that Murray provided to him like any other manager would, show me a manager who would turn around and ask 'where's this coming from ?' As for Duff and Phelps they are as bad as Brendon Guilfoyle the rent a quote administrator who seems more interested in getting himself publicity than helping the clubs he's invloved with. Scottish football is in a mess and the whole of scottish football call fall around it's ears unless it is really careful. Most of the people who run the clubs are complete cretins with their heads in the sand.

Agree with most of your post mate but McCoist is as bad as the rest he would have know who the 3 committee men were if he didnt he could have asked ,Rangers had representatives at the meeting when they selected the three men for the position  FFs ,intimidation mate pure and simple from the Internet getting the names and addresses of the panel to the threats of violence ,phone calls etc ,Christ they even threatened to burn the stadium down .
The bottom line is Ally McCoist knows what these people are like and accommodating isnt one of them ,the other is its got nothing to do with football either , they see the true blue protestant voice in Scotland going down the shunky where else can they spout their pish if not at a football match ,the Govan domino league ,the other crew are just as bad , black white ,up down catholic protestant ,its a money making machine dont ye know, footballs just the gig, where else in the world can you basically buy points not go down or face any consequence for tax evasion fraud cheating  other than Scotland, its  government backed to , you can cut your carbon footprint, use wind power , abide by
The Kyoto Agreement help polar bears whatever but Rangers and Celtic must survive its at  the very  fabric off Scotlands  society, good bad depending on how your parents brought you up brainwashed from an early age bit like Pol Pot.
All I can say is we are better of without both off them, and thats the truth the reason the government and media are blanking this is money and votes ,its taken some English journalists and Channel 4 news to bring it to the Glasgow medias attention ,a disgrace to journalism said one reporter , why are you not asking these people these questions its your job , not if Rupert says he doesn't want it printed its not ,and there it is lies ,lies and more lies I give you The Scottish Premier League .

If things couldn't get any worse  how about  the Kilmarnock  Chairman's quote below ,he really  should hang his head in shame
