Not sure yet Jon but it'll be first goal and last goal scorer - possibly a centre-half for first and a 'sub' for last - just have to decide who.

More interested in the Portugal-Sweden game tonight as it's not a friendly. I think both Zlatan and C. Ronaldo belong at the WC next summer, but hope Sweden can pull off an unlikely win. Never been Zlatan's biggest fan, also due to his personality, but I can't deny that he's shown some brilliant stuff recently, some amazing goals. Either way I expect a good game.

Yeah that should be a good tie.. Also have an interest in the Iceland Croatia fixture.

Would like Iceland to make it.

Wow...England looked bad tonight.   They need to really get their sh*t together for the WC or they are going home early. I think the feeling that England are a powerhouse in Europe is way overblown. They dont seem to be anywhere near the top teams like Spain and Germany.

It was basically a second team, we're managed by Roy Hodgson, need we say more?

As much as people don't rate him, a Redknapp / Rodgers combination would have had these lads playing really well as there's definitely some talent in that squad.

Yeah that's true. Would have been fascinating that. Like yourself I don't think too much can be read into friendlies but the idea of Milner in midfield (actually the idea of Milner anywhere in the team) and a Cahill/Jones centre back pairing was certainly not pretty. Seeing Jones play only confirmed moreso my relief at missed out on him to the Mancs back in 2011 (phew!) whereas I'll give Cahill the benefit of the doubt and say he was troubled by that Manc's presence. Questions must remain over Roy's England to take on a side who like to be a bit dynamic like Chile were. They were excellent at creating openings for themselves and slicing an England team unusual for Hodgson's England perhaps. Although a warning to Chile's opponents in future - they do love to kick, hustle and hack the opponents. They probably lack the defensive discipline to be considered a credible force though. Too much f**king about at the back but thankfully for them they weren't punished for it.

For a start,  Jones and Cleverly wouldn't get near first team. Lallana and Rodriguez were debutantes. Gerrard was not available, Wiltshire isn't completely match fit, can't even remember the name of the goalkeeper. Not sure why people are judging England on such a game where the majority of the team was experimental. Scotland drew against USA. .. etc... don't want to even get into that.  It's no secret Germany and Spain are better than England. Even though England aren't a superpower in football like them, we're still good and in with an outside chance,  as Greece were when winning Euro some years back.
