          1    Brad Jones
         22    Simon Mignolet   7/10
      Defender
         5    Daniel Agger    6.5/10
         20    Aly Cissokho    5.5/10
         38    Jon Flanagan    8.0/10
          2    Glen Johnson    4.5/10
         3    José Enrique
         34    Martin Kelly
         17    Mamadou Sakho  7.5/10
         37    Martin Škrtel      7.0/10
         4    Kolo Touré      6.0/10
      Midfielder
         10    Coutinho     8.5/10
         24    Joe Allen      7.5/10
         8    Steven Gerrard  8.0/10
         14    Jordan Henderson  8.5/10
         53    João Carlos Teixeira
         21    Lucas Leiva  5.0/10
         31    Raheem Sterling 9/10
      Forward
         9    Iago Aspas  5/10
         6    Luis Alberto
         12    Victor Moses  4/10
         15    Daniel Sturridge  9/10
         7    Luis Suárez    10/10

I couldn't really rate players like Tex and Alberto because I'm not sure we have seen what they may be able to deliver.

For obvious reasons our attack get higher marks than the defence which individually was not as bad as some may make out but it's always the sum of the parts which matter and on this matter we under performed.

And finally a notable mention for Brendan the LMA manager of the year 9.0/10

Think I was a little too generous in my initial post.
Only because I gave players high marks when I know they can play even better or are capable of better.
But I don't want to change my marks because you don't challenge for the league like we did without everyone playing a part.
With so many below-par performances by some key players, imagine what we'll be like when them areas are strengthened or sorted out.
It's been cool reading through the marks on here.

         5     Daniel Agger     7/10
         20    Aly Cissokho     2/10
         38    Jon Flanagan    7/10
         2     Glen Johnson     5/10
         3      José Enrique       5/10
        17    Mamadou Sakho  7/10
         37    Martin Škrtel       8.5/10
         4      Kolo Touré         6/10

         8      Steven Gerrard   8.5/10
         14    Jordan Henderson 8.5/10
21    Lucas Leiva         6/10  (good first half)

Brad Jones - N/A - did not feature enough to warrant a rating

Simon Mignolet - 6.5 - needs to work on commanding of defence and during set pieces. Sets panic into the team although a decent shot stopper

Aly Cissokho - 5 - had some poor performances as well as good performances. The scapegoat for our bad defensive performances

Jon Flanagan 7.5 - old school defender who is positive going forward. Often caught out at set pieces but tough in the tackle and reads the game well

Martin Skrtel 7.5 -  I refuse to give any defender 8/10 given how many goals we conceded. Excellent tackler but undermined when partnered with Sakho.

Momo Sakho 6.5 - unbeatable in terms of aerial duels but needs to focus on his tackling. Often clumsy, but will only get better

Daniel Agger 7 - set confidence in the defence and reads the game well. Solid as ever but a liability against quick attackers

Glen Johnson 6.5 - defensive liability but attacked well. Often dwells on the ball too and nearing the end of his contract, can see him being replaced

Steven Gerrard 8.5 - rejuvenated in new role. Passing with pin point accuracy and cold as ice from the penalty spot this season. Top assisted goals in the league

Jordan Henderson 8.5 - absolutely vital to our team. Taken the initiative his season as well as continuing to do the important donkey work around the pitch

Phillips Coutinho 7 - disappointing in part. Sometimes the best player on the pitch, and at others, the worst. Too inconsistent

Raheem Sterling 8.5 - breath of fresh air. No longer the bad boy we perceived. Instead a hard working teenager with flair and intelligence. Has matured into a fine international

Daniel Sturridge 9 - when Suarez was out suspended, Daniel was doing the scoring. Has also stepped up to the plate when Suarez was quiet in front of goal. Has all the ingredients to be a world class striker

Luis Suarez 10 - after missing the first 5 games of the season, Luis Suarez stepped up his game to a level no on perceived. All this after a long fight to keep him here at Anfield. 31 goals in 33 games and 2nd highest assister in the league. World class season

Excellent analysis mate. Obviously we disagree on a few scores, but I agree with your analysis of the players

I am giving a collective 9 to all of them ,they entertained people so much and made Anfield an intimidating ground once again. There are obvious weaknesses to be dealt with but to win 12 draw 1 and lose 1 of the last 14 games is in fact as good as you can get..Records tumbled all over the place and the way we won games was exciting and worth the ticket price no wonder we where on TV more than any other team who the F**k would want to watch Chelsea week in week out.

Totally agree mate, watching Chelsea was F***ing painful. I stupidly backed them a few times which meant I had an interest in the game.

Also totally agree with you regarding the 12-1-1 record, the joke of it is that some people suggesting we choked, I'll take 12-1-1 every single time to finish the league thanks very much. I buy much more into my belief at the time and Luis later revelation that the Chelsea game hit them very hard and subsequently took a lot out of them emotionally.

Great points on the 12-1-1 record. Or, if you look at our second half, we were 15-1-3. That's insane! If you go 15-1-3 in both halves, you end up with 96 points!
