Gerrard Linked with Inter

Was reading around on the net and stumbled upon this it seems that this Serbian pr**k is playing psychological games in the lead up to the match.

Inter star Dejan Stankovic has told Steven Gerrard ahead of tomorrow’s Champions League clash with Liverpool that he is more than welcome to join the Italian champions.

"We played really well,” Stankovic told Tuttosport.   

“It was not easy to find a concentration just a few days before Liverpool. But I do not think we conceded many chances except for the shot that hit the post and the save by Julio Cesar [on Vidigal]. Stankovic has never faced Liverpool in a competitive match during his career, and he has described them as a strange team.

"I have played them once in a friendly with Lazio. The stadium was full, there was a great atmosphere but we won 1-0 with a goal from Cesaretto,” he recalled.

"Liverpool are a strange team. Take [Dirk] Kuyt for example, he presses like crazy and doesn’t think about scoring goals, he spends the time preventing opponents from playing. In addition there is the Anfield factor, a stadium that gives you the chills.”

Stankovic then went on to praise Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard, saying he would love the player to join Inter.

"It is useless denying it, a champion like Gerrard we would very, very useful for us. The same goes for Lampard, but Gerrard is more complete.”

I agree with Dadorious, Stankovic is just playing mind games.Lets hope it has the effect of Stevie playing the game of his life and that would really make Inter want him.If Stevie has a good game  the REDS will have a good game.

Exactly! Yet another journalist making a story out of nothing! Stankovic pays a few compliments to Gerrard, and from that he makes a headline insinuating that Gerrard could be off to Inter! Nothing to get worried about, I think it's more Inter getting nervous - they don't like our position of underdogs going into this match, it means they have more to lose than we do! (I'm not saying I think we're underdogs, just the press has set up peoples opinions this way  ).
