Liverpool Boss Benitez Linked With Deportivo La Coruna Winger

Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez is reportedly looking to bring in Deportivo La Coruna winger Angel Lafita during the January transfer window while the out-of-favour wideman Jermaine Pennant is linked with a move out of Anfield.

It looks like former England U-21 international Pennant, who has seen few starting opportunities at the Merseyside club this season, could be sold in the New Year with Real Madrid and Wigan Athletic said to be interested in the former Arsenal and Birmingham City player.

Reds manager Benitez meanwhile, is linked with Lafita and reports claim that the Spanish tactician sent chief scout Eduardo Macia to watch Lafita several times this season. He has reportedly already made some sort of a contact with the former Real Zaragoza man’s representatives.

The winger who joined Deportivo this summer has been attracting the attention from several other clubs like Manchester United, West Ham United and Atletico Madrid.

Obviously I've never watched him so I don't know about his consistency, but from the video it seems that he's got a fairly good cross on him and some nice tricks. (Depending on whether I was watching the right guy or not).

Seems to be able to play on the left and right?

He's better than Pennant, but not as good as Kuba imo

From those vids he looks like a very good player with intelligence, skills and pace. Never watched him but he'll do much more than Pennant does for us.

but i like Kuba more...he has that scary pace
plus if Glen Johnson is coming...then defenders will be having big problem on the right flank

A problem i just found out about his transfer, Deportivo officially bought him just this season, why would they want to sell now? He will be worth 10 million or thereabouts i feel if were to approach.

he looks really great, i'd even say better tan kuba, some great crosses and has some pretty good tricks, i'd love to see us with him and riera on the wings, it would be stunning!!

Looks very calm and cool on the ball, and has that swagger in his step that is so good to watch.

I wouldn't mind him or Kuba but would place Kuba just ahead of him.
Lafita seems to have great vision in his passing also.
