How are you when you watch the game at home?
      Jan 13, 2014 05:46:12 pm
I wanted to start a thread to discuss us.  I want to know what your family/ friends/ neighbours/ pets think of you as you are watching the game on TV.

      I'll start with me.

As I live far away (Canada) watching LFC on TV is my weekly (sometimes twice a week) ritual.  I settle down on my favourite reclining sofa and watch the game on my 60' tv.  And I am engrossed instantly.  I tune out everything besides the game as I hang on to every play. If we score, I will break into song and dance... if we let one in, I will show disappointment with some choice swear words.

my family thinks I am hilarious when I watch the game.  I'm quiet, munching away on chips or whatever and suddenly I will jump around.  My wife however is not as impressed.  she says i'm a zombie and I dont give enough attention to the kids during a game.  I usually have to remind her that watching LFC is me time ;D

when I watch with friends, if they support lfc as well, we'll have fun chatter as the game progresses.  if I watch with scum fans and the like... the usual banter gets played.

I cannot watch the game at home as the Missis will not allow it ,I am a very mild mannered sort of chap but when I'm watching Liverpool I tend to get very animated and my language becomes a bit choice to say the least.
So when the boys are on I'm in the pub with the lads .

Don't watch the game at home, haven't done since I was a kid. Even that was rare, if I can't get a ticket for the game I'll watch it in the pub with the lads.

I've had different experiences watching LFC during my time. I am originally from Iran, and bars and pubs been closed there for forty years, so if it was Liverpool's turn on tv (those in charge were all mancs ass-lickers and their "turns" always last longer) I'd watch it with my old man. and boy we got mad sometimes, especially at CL nights on midweeks around midnight. missing those days so bad.

I've lived in Sweden for sometimes too but they only care about Ibra so I watched it alone in those times. But my my best experience watching LFC has been in east Asia. They are absolutely crazy about PL and the best thing is that the games start like 2 AM, it's cool in the air and the pubs are freakin' packed. I've been there during Woy's season, but relished it nonetheless.

Now I live in US and it's the most boring time for me regarding LFC tbh. I sleep between wife and laptop, wake up early in the morning and watch the first half being spooned by a manc (she has lived there for 10 years as a kid). Then at the break I lurk here and eat breakfast, and watch the second half on my screen trying not to wake her up :/

Must be a massive advantage during games like the one against Stoke!

      Anytime bud.

Mate I always smoke a J before every game, doesn't make me any less nervous. Still have to lie down on the couch the same way, cross my legs the same away and fold my arms the same way. Nothing changes in the routine.

I cannot bear being high watching lfc. It actually makes me more nervous. Sometimes my heart beat so fast I think I'm on the verge of a heart attack.

Pun intended aye? :D Think me and you would get along well mate! ;)

Personally I just get weird looks as I can't help laughing manically, or giggling to myself, whenever Suarez does something magic - which, as we know, is often.

I shout and curse at the tv as if it would actually make a difference.

Games like at the weekend are when it doesn't pay to be within earshot of me during a match.

I watch the games with my dad. We talk about the plays and usually yell at the TV like they can hear us. If we score I throw my hands up and cheer very loudly. We have been known to scare the dogs with being so loud.

Other times, I drive two hours into Chicago to watch the Chicago LFC supporter group. It is fun cheering or moaning with fellow fans with the same amount of passion.

Well it involves a lot of hysterical screams of joy when we are doing well, scoring goals and all, and a lot of hysterical screams and a looot of cursing when things aren't going our way.

I am the only one in my family, who watches football, so it took some time for my family to understand why a behave like that, in fact I don't think they actually do understand even after almost 15 years of me going mental at the tv when LFC are on.  ;D My dad is the most affected of it, he can't get it in his head how his sweet, smart, reasonable and relatively quiet daughter (we are a big loud family), can turn into a sailor for a period of 90+ minutes   I love it when I see him discreetly closing all the doors and windows 5 minutes after I've set down to watch a match, so that the neighboors wouldn't hear me  ;D

Everyone gets out of the way in my house if they can.  My other half keeps telling me, in one of those incredulous 'you need to calm down' tones, "they can't hear you when you shout you know" to which he usually gets a not too pleasant response of obscenities.

I'm not a nice person to be around until we've won but I remain not a nice person for days if we lose ;D
