I'd say this is just Sky talking rubbish as always, The money will be spent on a quality player but we'll have to wait and see what position is strengthened

I hope this is a smoke screen for the lad from Roma, because Poulsen is 29 and more like Masch than Xabi, with them two in the side it could make us a little negative.

15 on Aquillani, 30 on silva, 10 on a back up striker SORTED

I rathe we sign, Cattermole for replacement for Masch..... He is younger than Poulsen. I fear Masch will be gone end of this coming season.

If Poulson is more like Masch, Mabey Mash is also on the move. I just F***ing hope not or that will put the mockers on No. 19. I don't know a lot about Poulson but judging by the comments on here, he doesn't seem to measure up. :f_doh:

We shouldnt have sold Sissoko then, if we want to now spend our money on a player inferior to him.... Sissoko would just look over his shoulders and smile...He was commited to us remember.

In a qualifying game for the UEFA Euro 2008 against Sweden on June 2, 2007, with the game tied 3-3 in the 89th minute, Poulsen punched Swedish striker Marcus Rosenberg in the stomach inside Danish penalty area. The linesman notified referee Herbert Fandel, who gave Poulsen the red card and awarded Sweden a penalty kick. An angered Danish supporter ran onto the pitch attempted to attack Fandel, though the rest of the Danish players held the fan off. The referee walked off the pitch and the match was abandoned. Poulsen, who later apologized for his actions, was suspended for the next three competitive games.

he has one of the worst disciplinary records..he gets frustrated too easily and in a league like England's he'll get us into too many troubles

We should have asked 30 mil + Negredo for Alonso, then we would have our back up striker. And we'd still have 55 mil for Aquilani and Silva. But we really have to buy Aquilani and Silva/Villa if we want to compete for the title.

Think it's even more unlikely now that it looks as though Aquilani is set to join.

This not going to happen was very unlikely before but since Aquilani is joining this is just pure speculation.

I dont think they would have given us 30 mil plus negredo!! benitez didnt want a swap deal, and the madrid boss wouldnt have offered it!! would have been nice if he did though!!

Sissoko was utter sh*te. It's a disgrace he's even in that best midfield song. Could hardly hold onto a ball for a second. Oh wait the opposition has already got it. Poulsen is no way worse than Sissoko. But no way would we buy him either.

Sissoko has improved loads with juventus i would have him back if he wanted to come. Back on topic there has been no fresh reports regarding Poulsen with the club and since Aquilani is our replacement for Alonso could we say this is over (Poulsen rumor) ?

I agree about Sissoko, he is really good and honestly I am still regreting his departure.

As regards Poulsen, he is amongst my favorite defensive midfielders for his combativeness yet I think we should not sign him simply because he is not a type of player that we need at the moment.
