New contract for Daniel Ayala

DEFENDER SIGNS NEW DEAL

Daniel Ayala has signed an extension to his current Liverpool contract that will keep him at Anfield until 2012.

The 18-year-old centre-back made his Reds first-team debut as a substitute on the opening day of the season away to Tottenham Hotspur, and has since chalked up two further senior appearances.
 
Ayala was also on the bench for Liverpool's recent Champions League clash with Lyon in France and is a regular in John McMahon's reserve side.

Made up for the lad. Did ever so well when called upon and certainly has a great future ahead of him.

Thoroughly deserved after stepping up to the plate so well earlier in the season. Hopefully the lad continues to push on an develops into a real gem, Carra won't be around forever.

Deffo, he has great potential, and Rafa obviously recognises that.

Ya watched a good few of the reserve games and himself and Mavinga look like very good prospects.

Good news and i'm well chuffed for the lad.

It's left me wondering tho' - if as H & G and Purslow suggest, contract renewals come out of the transfer kitty and that kitty of £20m was spent: where have we got the money for Dan from? Next year's budget perhaps? 

I think he sould be in instead of the spartan, He is faster and capable of making good defensive choices from what I've seen in the reserves and pre-season.......

He did well when throw in against Spurs at the start of the season, he's also been a rock for John McMohon's reserves. Or should I say the youngsters.
