Most trusted? Says who? It's not a bad site, but they're certainly not always right.

I do like both but I have been a bit unsure with Skrtel for a while now. I would like to see Soti play a bit more. He looks solid when he plays and I think he could sure up our defence. Believe me, if you said a year ago that I would be saying that about Soti, I would have laughed at you ;D.

Same here.. I also don't think that Skrtel's distribution is any good... if I'm honest I don't think that Agger any better defensively than either of them, but I rate him more because of his ability to use the ball and shoot.

I hope we keep Soto and as backup for a eventual Wilson / Agger pairing.

I hate to be the one looking back with red-tinted-glasses to the good old days but the idea that any of our current defenders are anywhere close to good enough for LFC just shows how far we have fallen.

Seriously, even Carragher, whom I think is the best we have, couldn't lace the boots of Lawrensen, Hansen, Thompson, Smith, Hughes, Neal, ....OMG...I could easily list 20 defenders from our glorious past that make this lot look like a waste of space.

As for Skrtel....always thought the hype about his early displays was overplayed and he has had a few absolute nightmares since. Not only that, even though he looks tough, he gets bullied way too often also. Even that pansy Drogba can scare him off.

Just my two bob....rant away if you must!

"Sotis is the best defender at the club nevermind better than Skrtel."

Agreed although Aurelio is a good defender if we can keep him fit
Sorry but are we watching the same players..?
Everyones got their own opinion of course but I honestly think my Grandma could take the ball past Aurelio, and she only has 1 leg. Hes just so sluggish I tihnk he plays with lead boots half the time.

Soto has proved enough times he truely is solid, hes great in the air, strong and has that grit required at that back. Skrtel is still learning his game, he has had a few nightamres at the back but with a run of games him and Agger will definetly be the CB partnership to watch within the next couple of years.

Would find it hard to pick one over the other.

Skrtel still has lots to learn, bit rash with tackles at times where he should stay on his feet and not as commanding as he should be. Sotis has done well when called upon but he hasnt started any games against the "big" teams and think that against the top strikers who have great movement he would struggle.

The future is Kelly and Agger for me!
