      Anybody else heard about this?

Apparantly he was in for Pompey but opted for Palace because he preferred their football name.

Reported he is worth half a billion.

He probably thinks he is buying a Crystal Palace to live in rather than buying a football team, a crap football team too.

I live about 30 minutes from Selhurst and therefore a lot of my friends are Palace fans, i can tell you they are absolutly livid! I mean they are happy that he could come in and save them short term but they are understandably worried about the long term, and seeing as Palace games are often the only games i have money or time to travel too i kind of have a soft spot for them, and understand their concern.

A yank coming into a sport he doesnt know or understand - sounds all too familer for my liking!
