Late text messages

Wasn't quite sure, where to put this but I'd thought here were the best place to put it.

Today I've been receiving my text messages about an hour late. For instance, someone sent me 6 text messages  and all arrived at exactly the same time.

I'm assuming this is my network provider, orange, fault.

My signal at home is quite poor but when I look for a signal, I can get one or two bars easily.

Anyone else have any idea how to fix it without going to the phone shop and waiting hours for no remedy.

My phone has done that in the past.  I've got a very poor signal at home as well.  I think that one text gets 'stuck' and then it backs the others up.  I've had 3 together a couple of times.  Really annoying when the other person thinks your ignoring them 

I've started to receive texts properly now. Its very annoying when the other person thinks I'm ignoring them, I'm the sort guy who replies to my texts within 5-10 minutes and I always reply so it's been very frustrating when that happens.

If I have any other problems, I'll just go to orange and cause mayhem

You should try the service over here. Sometimes it can be 6 hours or so, other times you don't get them at all.

I'm thinking of getting some carrier pigeons, they'd be quicker and more reliable, cheaper too! I'm just worried they'd crap all over my washing on the line.

I think I've found out when I get texts late. Usually around 3-4 o'clock, when "someone" sends me a text, I receive well them well over an hour late. Any other time of the day, I get them instantly?

My iPhone used to do it around the same time, but I found out it was due to a lot of apps open at the same time.

can that happen?? I thought it happened me but always just assumed the other person just couldn't be arsed texting me back!
