Rush is the top man for me. Nearly 350 goals, unbelievable. He wasn't a big, strong, burly guy but man could he finish. Won every cup worth winning in the blazing Red of Liverpool.
But I take the arguement that he played in an extremly talented team and probably had more chances than say, Nando, who I think is brilliant too. But we all have our favourites :)

Rush has scored the most goals, until someone beats his record he'll always be the greatest!

Have to say we've been spoilt with some great strikers- My dream paring up front would be Fowler and Torres, two players who can score out of nothing.

Technically, I don't think there's been any one better.

Scoring records or no scoring records.

      Rushie is still the greatest.

The trophies and medals prove this.

Get in Aldo but Kenny will always be the man for me. Torres is like a Ferrari. . Spectacular, fast but fragile. Kenny is the Bugatti. Awesome but equally reliable

The greatest forward I've seen in a Liverpool shirt is Robbie Fowler. Had injuries not hindered his career I think he could easily of had a better record than he has. And the fact he was my first Kop idol means he'll always be held in the highest regard.

Agree with that. I'd put Aldridge down as my second on the list, followed by Rush and Torres.

stupid thread, with all due respect DLS....look at Rush and Hunt's goal totals and it is pretty clear that Nando has a million miles to go yet...if he leaves soon or has an off season or just never gets fit again he'll just be a bright memory to treasure but not even close to our "greatest".

FFS, can't we just wait to see how his whole career pans out first?

So in your eyes, Aldridge wasn't great?
So in your eyes, Albert Stubbins wasn't great?

And if you read the thread lad, you'd see that I myself do not consider Nando as our greatest. In my opinion the greatest was, ald always will be (prbably) Robbie "God" Fowler.
