They've got their two draws now but can they progress with a third or do they need to beat Paraguay?

I think NZ won't progress anyway, but I expected them to go home with 0 points. They got 2 now, and drawing with Italy is huge for them, I believe. They got something to celebrate, even if they go out.

I'm hoping Slovakia will beat Italy next game, then we'll play them the next round

Its certainly a great story for the New Zealanders but i am still a bit disappointed. I have got a soft spot of Italian football and this result annoyed me. I don't think they were as bad as some were saying, in the Paraguay game, but they didn't do enough today and thats what really annoyed me. Fair play to the All Whites though.

I tipped this draw on a bet. Shouldn't underestimate them considering they nearly beat Australia and drew with Serbia in the lead up.

Shane Smeltz is my favourite player in the A-league. Delighted for him and for New Zealand.

to be fair Italy dominated and suffered the common problem more and more top teams are suffering from,

For the neutrals its nice to see the underdogs pull off a backs to the wall effort, but the style of play new zealand bring to the table is dire. Italy once again manage a dive in the box to save some face and keep their dreams alive.

I hope these cheats dont progress.
