At least he didn't go off injured Aussie. ;)

True that. I heard he's out of club action for 6 months now with a sore shoulder.  ;D

      Haha Gow!

In all honesty, an admirable performance from Australia. Hardly deserved the adulation all the pundits gave them but a good job to hang in.

the world cup always seems to bring about terrible injustices to my teams.

Australia had Italy on the rack 4 years ago in the round of 16 match.  Italy down to 10 men, and extra time looming.
An Italian dive, a refereeing mistake, a penalty, a goal and Australia unjustly put out in the 90th minute.

      fast forward to 2010
Cahill receives an unjust red card for a tackle from behind. Another refereeing blunder leaving Australia to battle the power of germany with 10 men.

kewell sees a red card when a ball is hammered at him and hits his upper arm, which is not away from his body. Every match we see balls hammered at players in the box and the referee never takes action, unless a player extends his arm out in an unnatural manner towards the ball.
All of a sudden the rules change ??????????????????????

Well thanks for F***ing nothing FIFA...............    Rant over

I have to add,  the 10 men of Australia did the Nation proud with the spirit they showed after kewell's sending of, f.
They competed hard and defied the odds against eleven players, 12 if you count the ref.

They almost pulled off the unlikely, and another spirited performance like that will mean they can come back with heads held high, whatever the outcome.

Barry, Lucas Neill hurled in two footed in the 92nd minute in the penalty area and didn't get the ball. What the F**k was he thinking? It was a penalty and if it wasn't given against Liverpool we'd all be looking back going 'That F***ing c*nt robbed us!'

Kewell handballed on the line. That is a red card, accidental or not. Cahill's wasn't, but this one was.

I seem unpatriotic by constantly giving the Socceroos crap but the victim card is played all too often. They got played off the park by Germany and Wilkshire/Kennedy should of won the game with the best chance of the match. If they don't qualify, it's their fault.
