France Suspend 23 Man Squad

The French Football Federation has suspended all 23 members of France's World Cup squad for their next game.

New France coach Laurent Blanc requested that no member of the squad be selected for a friendly against Norway in Oslo on 11 August.

France failed to win any of their three group games in South Africa and scored one goal.

The campaign was marked by bitter infighting and a one-day training strike by the players.

Blanc said: "I obviously cannot act as if nothing had happened in South Africa.

"I followed the events with sadness, I was disappointed with the sporting results and I was shocked by certain behaviours.

"I will integrate these elements into my analysis and my thoughts. I always had the principles, rules of conduct and not just in my sporting life. They have not changed and I will not change."

A few troublemakers in the team and I doubt some of them were actually in the strike together.

I heard from a friend that Yoann Gourcuff was like the odd one out. Franck Ribery wanted to go party and all and Gourcuff didn't want to. So he gets teased about it or something.

And I think all the French squad are cu*ts by the way. They acted like 5 year olds. If it was only a few of them then the others should have manned up and dealt with them. Now Domenech might not have been the greatest manager but FFS he was still the french manager heading into the biggest international tournament and that wasn't going to change. So they should have got the F**k on with it and represented their country.

I hope not a single member of that squad joins Liverpool.

They all participated in the strike though by not training and stuff. They're all adults responsible for their own actions, none of them spoke out against the strike. They should all be ashamed of what they did, they should know the national team is more important than their egos, by what they did they only made the whole situation much worse.

So apparently the french government has appointed a special commission to research what happened during the World Cup, and they'll come out with a report the 5th of august. Can you believe that? How crazy is that, seriously. Can't imagine my government ever getting involved in football matters. Besides, if the french government interferes in football matters then they're acting against FIFA regulations aren't they? Could have consequences for them.
