Players We Have Missed Out On Since The Yanks Took Over?

Just thought it may be worth seeing who we wanted to sign - but didnt due to the board

Thing with this is though - how will we ever know if 'we' actually wanted to sign these players.

This all just speculation, even if we had decent owners it's very debatable who would and who wouldn't have come here, there's many other factors that come into play.

Alves, Silva, Simao, Barry, Van Der Vaart, Arda, we actually did want to sign. The others listed above, surely we wanted them, but not so sure if it was real.

I would have loved to sign Alves, Silva and Arda Turan, then our squad looks a lot more healthy with a wealth of attacking options.

Where do you get Fabregas, Ronaldo, Villa, Silva, Pato, Asharvin, Ballack and Ribery from? Did we ever make a bid or show any interest in these players. Don't seem to recall any interest in lahm either.

We were intersted in Walcott but Parry wanted him to stay at Southampton until the end of the season so we could get hi on the cheap.

I remember us being interested in Vidic but we signed Skrtel instead.

I also remember us being interested in simao very early in benitez' reign as well as alves but these deals did not happen. Seem to remember us agreeing a 12m fee for simao though?

Yeah I think thommo went out to watch ronaldo. I really wanted Alves but they wanted closer to £15m for him while we would only offer 9m ish.

Well the obvious ones that we've been linked with every year are the likes of:

Arda Turan, Silva, Villa, Lahm, Van der vaart, etc etc.


But I don't really care - we've got our man now. The one we've all wanted all along...

Apparently Houllier didn't think Ronaldo was strong enough. Ronaldo always wanted to come to Anfield as he was a Liverpool fan from his early years.

David Silva - was a certainty if Rafa had the money. Gareth Barry is another one and probably Aguero would be at the club today if Rafa had the money he was promised. Benitez wanted Villa in 2004 but still thought he was a bit raw for the Premier League but no doubts would have bought him. Instead he had to settle for 4th rate freebies like Voronin. As for the period before then we can blame Parry for most of the slips.  Ronaldo - Alex Miller and Thommo strongly recommended to Houllier but Parry stopped them from buying him. F***ing c**t.

-Arshavin
-Barry
-Silva

Especially Arshavin and Barry  the players were happy to join us, just our bad management so cannot sign them but have a F***ing money to sign Kean.

imo, I most love to have Vidic, Barry and Silva as soon as Rafa want them, that for sure we now all happy for the 19th few years ago.

Aaron Ramsey and we got Lucas

Malouda and we got Riera.
