Don't think Kenny should take over by himself,if Kenny would take the job it would be good if he worked with a close team that know the club well and know football ,Thommo,Rush, i would hate to see Kenny take charge and not be successful,Kenny would certainly galvanise the team, and sort the crap players out !

I wouldn't expect miracles from Kenny, but he could certainly get the players motivated to a higher level than they currently are. After all , who wouldn't want to play for the King?

Of course, if given enough time and support from the owners, Kenny doesn't produce the goods, then even he should be replaced. No one is bigger than Liverpool FC.

That said, the type of savvy man Kenny is, if things weren't going to plan, I'm sure Kenny would step down before he was asked to leave.

HOPE HE GETS HIS CHANCE SOONER RATHER THAN LATER!

If we played exciting attacking football and he failed similar to Roy Evans who had us playing wonderful attractive football then I wouldnt think any less of Kenny. How will we ever know unless he is given the chance. I dont think Kenny is  arrogant enough to suggest that he could do a job unless he believed that to be true. He understands how we adore him and he loves the club as much as anyone and wouldnt  put his ego before the club I for one would welcome him back with open arms. Anfield would come alive again to the sound of ATTACK ATTACK ATTACK ATTACK ATTACK. Our players look burdend with tactics they dont like it would be wonderful to see Gerrard and Torres unleashed.
Good Post Walton, all i can add to that is he knows this club inside and out, he worked with and under Sir Bob and knows THE Liverpool way of playing, he himself commands respect wherever he goes and will undoubtedly have the players galvanised and climbing the league in a matter of weeks, he was a attacking player so only knows one way to play(mentally) the amount of belief he will instill to the young lads too by bringing them thru will ensure continuation, it has been noted that he would like to amalgamate the academy with Melwood, a fantastic idea, imagine those young lads training alongside their heroes like Gerrard, Carra, Nando, Pepe and learning from them, the Liverpool way, all playing the same style/type football, his vision for the future of the club is very high and NESV need to take stock of what the man says, i would love to see him at the helm again even though emotions could get in the way, but not enough to get us playing our way, the Liverpool way.

Its like saying if we could clone Bill Shankly he wouldnt do any good because football is different than in his day. what a load of bollocks.
Until they change the number of men in a team or the size of the pitch then Kenny would be more than capable of taking on this job.

With this team and a god manager there is no way we aren't in the top 4.

I think that is who we are going to need. ;D

Well said. After all we're not only talking about one of the club's greatest legends but a man who knows football inside out.
Kenny is no F***ing fool. He know's exactly what he'd be getting himself in for. The man's prue passion for the club alone would have an instant effect on the dressing room.

Lets hope our new owners do their homework before they give Roy the sack
or else we could end up with some c**t like Klinsmann.

Kenny is the man for me. Not a single doubt.

We can all question Roys tactical ability or his eye for a player and his ability to fire up a team. I know for a fact not 1 here or anywhere could question Kenny on any of those traits

I would give Roy time to prove he's good enough till January but if the results are not good, Kenny should be appointed...

It will be a short-term choice if Kenny is appointed and if at the end of the season we're happy with him, keep him(like Newcastle did with Houghton). If not happy replace him with another one - however I'd be pleased he is ready to help the club whenever he's needed and in every way he can. KENNY'S AND ALWAYS WILL BE A LEGEND.
Also don't think the fact he was out of the game for +10 years will have such a big impact on him. It was FOOTBALL 15 years ago and so is now. Maybe the way of playing and philosophy have changed a little bit, but if with Kenny we can play our game (beautiful and attacking football) regardless of the opposition, we'll win. Look at Barcelona, which is the perfect model for all on-field issues in football today. They play their own attacking and attractive football regardless of playing home or away, playing Valencia or Levante.

I would still love the guy!

Kenny is Liverpool through and through- unlike our current manager!

You just know he wouldnt let anybody say a bad word about our team, he would have instant respect from the players & staff from what he has achieved in the past.

I strongly believe our lads would run through brick walls for Kenny, you can see it in his face in the main stand- his pain when we are losing & playing terribly & his elation when we win.
He goes through all the same emotions we do.

Now without listing them- Roy has not shown a single sign that he is Liverpool material, im not talking about results here- im talking press interviews, body-language & vital decisions.

Now i dont think Kenny would have put himself forward for the job if he didnt think he was up to it- he saw his beloved team struggling & he wanted to help!
