Are we playing like a top 4 team under Kenny?

The short answer to the original question is no in my opinion, but we are definately improving quickly. The truth is that we have been that bad for the last eighteen months or so that any sort of cohesive play has us drooling (well it has me drooling anyway) but I do think we've got a bit of a way to go yet.

 Kenny has definately freed us up from the more regimented styles of Rafa/Hodgson, and while it's unquestionably easier on the eye it hasn't in itself cured all our ills. Despite three consecutive clean sheets I am unconvinced about us defensively, and while we are all majorly hopeful that Carroll/Suarez will be a vast improvement on sulky boll*****, they'll do well to match his goal tally. We still lack genuine width, and in parts the squad is still a bit thin.

 For me we are a work in progress, probably still a player or two away from being a really top side. Kenny is doing a fantastic job though and has arrested the tailspin, for me it is only a matter of time before we get there.

 Fair enough mate there's no comparison in terms of how good a job they did, and even if there was I'm not going to get into an argument with anyone about it. I just think Kenny believes in a more fluid style which is much more akin to the traditional pass and move which we used to play, that's all.

They both left us in a worse position than when they took over. Something not many Liverpool managers have managed (Souness being the obvious other candidate.)

Back on topic

I think to get fourth is a step to far now (win or lose against Chelsea) , to play like a top four team is within our reach and bodes well for next season given reasonable investment in the summer.

Chelsea are level on points with Spurs and Spurs have the much easier remaining games. Hope Torres is looking foward to playing in Europa Cup again and sitting on the bench at Chelsea. Once Spain drop him out the national team his value will plumit. Chelsea paid for their arragance for starting Torres. Would Liverpool have started Carrol against Newcastle when he never played a game for us before?
