wait until you see the prices for the final ,go on line and check them out.

That's again in the ballot, it's the same for the European Cup at Wembley, the actual tickets given to the competing finalists are a little bit cheaper.

If you don't like the price, don't buy a ticket.  Fairly simple.

      Supply and demand.

Unfortunately, I don't think it's all that simple. A club the size of Liverpool will have many fans from many backgrounds. All this does is price out the average working class person. Whereas, there will be plenty of "better off" LFC supporters to take their place, as they can afford to pay this sort of money and probably will do.

Don't know what the answer is to solve this problem, it's a bleeding disgrace though.

Not to mention the simple 300% mark up in price since 2005. And don't forget the £25 adminsitration fee for those applying for tickets through the ballot too!

if we do get to the final ,whether we like it or not we"re going to have to pay the asking price ,at least we wont have to fork out big money for airline tickets.

You mean like £48 for a ticket for the Man Utd game at Anfield?

I'm not defending the price of the ticket over in Sparta, but you say it is pricing the working class fan out of attending.  I do wonder how many working class fans will afford the flight, hotel, time off work in the first place before they even get as far as a ticket?

We can argue till we're blue in the face about ticket prices.  The basic fact remains that they football clubs are businesses and if people buy a ticket then the business will continue to charge the same.  If fans want to complain about prices then they can vote with their feet and their wallets.

I'm not sure what the comparison is now but in 1983 I was on holliday in northern spain and got invited by a couple of the hotel bar staff to watch Barca play.

It was a league game so no inflated ticket prices but it still cost £16 a ticket.

Now that may not seem like much now but to put into perspective our 2 week hols full board only cost £75.

I hear what you are saying and I agree, I was speaking more in general about the price of going to games, which was my bad as this is about the Sparta game away.

As I said previously though, it is a disgrace and I agree with you that people can vote with their feet and wallets but unfortunately, as we saw when we were trying to get rid of the other two jokers (G&H), for every person who boycotts the game, there will be a whole lot more ready to take their place. I wish it wasn't the case, I really do. Wish I had an answer. Maybe the FA or UEFA should do something about it but, I doubt very much that they will.

Why should Sparta be forced to let you into their stadium for less than the market rate?  No-one is forcing you to pay £145 for a ticket.

I went on holiday to Mallorca a few years back and they were playing Malaga at home when i was there. On the day of the match i went to the stadium hoping to get a ticket because i was told by a waiter in the hotel you could just turn up and get one at the gates.
Anyway i got there, went up to the turnstile and said can i get a ticket please? 7 Euros it cost me which worked out about 4 pound 50. Couldn't believe it,i was expecting to pay 40 Euros or something.
Eto was playing for Mallorca and Josemi was playing for Malaga. Needless to say Eto pissed all over Josemi and scored both goals in a 2-0 win.

They are not normally playing Liverpool in Europe though are they?

If they sold out at £145 at ticket, that is the market rate. I can't afford that, so I didn't go, but that doesn't mean that Sparta did anything wrong.

It is not allowed to charge Liverpool fans 30 quid more then Sparta fans though.
