Here's another one from the Italian fourth division playoff, penalty shoot out :D

Penalti surrealista italiano| cagada del portero

Here’s the end of a penalty shootout in the play-off final of the Italian fouth tier between Dro and Termeno.

A Dro player scored his penalty before Termeno missed one to send the former into their equivalent of League One - pretty simple, no?

      No…

Never a goal, that penalty one.

I thought the rule (in a shoot out), was that once the ball stopped any forward motion, the play was over?

Like if the ball rebounds back off the post, comes forward to hit the keeper, then deflects in, that doesn't count either? Obviously only talking about shoot-out rules.

Doesn't really matter, but clarification would be good!

Ball has to stop moving completely, without external interference

As Brian Clough once said (I think), "It only takes a second to score a goal", but in this case it was about 10!

The Gary Sprake goal takes some beating when he threw the ball into his own net,I don't know if there was a ghost involved in that one but it certainly lifted the spirits on the KOP that day.

Awana Diab, the United Arab Emirates player whose back-heeled penalty has been an internet sensation, could face punishment from his national football association for his outrageous goal. "I think what happened is disrespectful. We cannot accept anyone in our team who does not respect the opponent," said team manager Esmaeel Rashed.

      What a tw*t.

But how was it not saved? It was rolling about one metre next to the keeper.

What's even funnier is that manager wasn't happy with his actions so substituted him straight after. He had just been brought on to the pitch 3 minutes before.
