      Robinson joins Blackpool on loan

Liverpool Football Club today confirmed that
      defender Jack Robinson has joined
Championship side Blackpool on a season-long
loan deal. The 19-year-old will spend the duration of 2013-14 with the Tangerines, who are currently managed by former Reds midfielder Paul Ince. Since making a senior debut against Hull City in May 2010, becoming the club's youngest ever  player at that time, Robinson has played a total of 11 matches for the Liverpool first team. The left-back spent the second half of the 2012-13 campaign on loan with Wolverhampton Wanderers and travelled to the European U21 Championship with England earlier this summer.

Good move, he needs to get some experience.

I assume this is the same Blackpool that we often loan players too to help their first team and then get fu**ed over on Transfers (Adam, Ince - twice) by..? Another great example of us being idiots... Seriously, this is becoming very boring now... We offer more loans than HSBC..!

you need to calm down mate..he needs playing time cause his progress has been halted after early bloomer..dont think he was going to get much playing time here....
Know blackpool are cu*ts but dont see any harm in young player going on loan out there.

Why can he not get experience here? We need cover for left back. Why not him? No way will Enrique play 38 games plus cup ties. Let Jack cover him and if hes found wanting well then we know we need a new cover at left back

Looks like our supposedly new didgy left-back will indeed be playing left back this season. I like Robinson, I really do and i think  he has a chance to make it at LFC. Given we don't have the Europa League this season it probably isn't a bad move for Robinson because he will get games and hopefully demonstrate he can stay fit for a season.

      Agree with this Brian.

Although maybe Brendan sees a full season better than just filling in here.

No guarantee he'll play every game for Blackpool either though.

is it a sweetner for Ince.
Personally I hate loans I am not sure how playing for Blackpool would prepare him for the first X1 here.

I don't think he has it him to become a cover for us right now. If Enrique gets injured or is found wanting, I doubt he would be able to take up the responsibility. Let him get some regular games under his belt then we would know if he can cut it here.

Maybe we intend on signing an established left back to challenge with Enrique.

The sensible part of me however reckons the club would rather Enrique play all 38 games plus cup ties so it's one less wage we have to pay.

I don't think he will be in our squad until 2015. Robinson is nowhere near ready.

Young Jack will play alot more at the seasiders than he would here as cover, he is good enough to make it but needs experience playing regularly which in turn will bolster his confidence, I've been very impressed with the lad and I hope he can cement his place next season, we need players such as Jack, Martin Kelly, Conor coady etc, scousers born 'n' bred with that passion and never say die attitude, we have to keep producing home talent otherwise we become as plastic as the f***in chavs.     YNWA
