      Football Boots

The time has come for me to finally get a new pair.

I'm not sure how many actually play on the forum but can anybody recommend somewhere either online or in the north west where they think is a good place to buy them from?

I basically do NOT go for these pink, purple, illuminous, sh*te boots. Virtually plain black or even virtually plain white will do for me. But obviously not too bad quality a boot and obviously a decent price. I can't justify spending over £35 on football boots. We play indoors mostly now so mouldies are the only option.

Just wondered if anybody could share where they tend to buy theirs from and/or if they know of somewhere to get a bargain.

Nice one Racer thanks for that.

Think I fancy some of them Hummel boots, they look like retro style. Went in the local sports direct and lad said to me which do you prefer mercurial or something else. I said I just want some plain boots and he said you can buy this blackout kit - £20. When did boots become so difficult to buy. I've basically had the same pair since I was about 17. Black Nike with a white tick. But even they are like £40-£50 now its not worth it.

Yeah, I do like both those to be fair. But I do can't have metal studs.

I have gotten very technical this morning for a supposedly no nonsense footballer. Apparently you can either go sythetic or kangaroo leather, now people rave about the kangaroo leather saying it has a great touch and fell and all that sh*te.  But its like £30-£35 dearer than the synthetic and I just wonder whether it makes that much difference.

I agree though the gold on the black does look good. And they are cheap.
