Hoping Magath will last till the end of the season.  surely with playing so much musical chairs in a position as critical as the manager, Fulham is in an extreme panic mode.  TBF to Rene, I thought fulham looked organized vs manutd and us.   It takes till to instill a manager's vision and gamestyle... it'll take Magath some time as well.

on a side note.  I think our tally is is 3 now.  managers that got sacked with liverpool as the last game before the axe fell. any bookies placing odds on a 4th?

What the hell was the point in appointing Muelensteen then?

Some of these owners need to get a reality check and sacking managers left right and centre isn't the answer.

Couldn't care less who is sacked as long as it isn't Brendan....or Moyesy! ;)

But it's a joke decision. I'll miss them in the PL as all we do is beat them.

No chance they will stay up now.

Only feel sorry for JAR but couldn't give a toss about the rest of the team and club.

Three? I think it's only two - AVB and Meulensteen but I may be forgetting someone big. I thought for a moment it was Malky Mackay but he was only sacked after the 3-0 loss to Southampton on Boxing Day. Then there was Holloway who left a couple of weeks after Palace's visit to Anfield. Unless you have looked into the future and seen the fall out following Moyes sacking after their mutilation on 16th March??!

Personally never been a massive Fulham fan, but it's a poor decision from their owner as I said in the PL thread

Meulensteen had them playing decent enough football but with the extra sky money revenue at risk they panicked . Too late for them and they might be better off going down and hopefully they will stay down .

      this was rene's record

      W3, D1, L8: 10 points from 12 games

      Fulham 1-2 Spurs
      Fulham 2-0 Villa
      Everton 4-1 Fulham
      Fulham 2-4 City
      Norwich 1-2 Fulham
      Hull 6-0 Fulham
      Fulham 2-1 West Ham
      Arsenal 2-0 Fulham
      Swansea 2-0 Fulham
      Fulham 0-3 Southampton
      United 2-2 Fulham
      Fulham 2-3 Liverpool

not a great record by any means but it was a really tough stretch of games for a regulation threatened team.  besides the loss to hull... their losses were to top 10 teams.  their wins off the other teams around them

however, their battle to stay up is incredibly difficult.  still has to play, spurs, chelsea, man city, everton...

"While in charge of Wolfsburg during a training camp in July 2008 in Switzerland Magath declared after a team lunch that training would be canceled for the day. Instead the players would be rewarded with coffee and cake at a nearby location with the provision that the players retain their training attire just in case. As the players prepared to board the gondola that took them up the mountain to the coffee house their delight was soon replaced with horror as Magath told them they would get there by running the full 2362 meters. They ran for two and a half hours straight up the hill with Magath running right behind the team. Their star striker Grafite collapsed before the end and had to be carried down the valley on a stretcher while other players broke down in tears as they reached the summit where they were finally able to enjoy their coffee and cake."

Another example of shocking behaviour by football club owners but saying "goodbye" might be a bit premature. Magath is no mug and despite their poor run of results, Fulham do still have a bit about them.

Don't get me wrong, I'll always be happy to see a London club go down ;)

Luckily we do not have to face them again this season and I'm sure Magath will toughen them up in many ways and hopefully they'll give our competitors a harder time.
