      Radja Nainggolan (Roma)

I've been a huge fan of Radja Nainggolan's for a number of years now and it seems once he finally left Cagliari, he has finally become more noticeable.

He'd be a perfect fit as the defensive shield in front of our defence as he is combative, loves a slide tackle but can also play football who and can ping long balls but then thread wonderful, delicate passes to the attackers. The best way to describe him is like Javier Mascherano but with the ability to play fast, forward-thinking football. And there are certainly similarities between him and Arturo Vidal of Juventus.

Check out this montage to see what he is all about. He takes no prisoners and some of the challenges are bordering on brutal...  >:D

I like him but only YouTube like him as that's all that I've every seen of him.

Is he like that every game?

I don't watch every Roma game but from the games I've seen him play - yes.

I noticed him when he played for Cagliari a few times and he stood out a mile then (along with Albin Ekdal who is a fantastic midfielder too) and I knew it wouldn't be long until he moved on to another bigger team.

He's perfect for the Premier League and would be an asset for any of the top 4 teams.

He's like that most games. Like insideanfield said - he takes no prisoners :D The attacking side to his game is improving quite well too, was basically the only reason I took note of Serie A this season but Ljajic and Pjanic are impressive too.

Looks good from that montage but I'd be a bit Dave Bassett to just go on that. One thing I would say is with some of those lunging tackles he must have hamstrings like Suarez. Having said that, we may not lose him to injury but we'd deffo be losing him to the amount of cards he'd bloody get.

Yes, he was. Was either a short break away or a not so private scouting trip.

The thing is though, most of his challenges are perfect. He lets the player know he's there but he also takes the ball first and last. With refereeing in our league these days he may pick up a few cards but it won't be for fouls, it'll be through wimp arse refs :D

Exactly mate, going by that montage his tackles would be just what I like to see but as soon as the gobs***e pundits jumped all over it the refs would be carding him weekly. Refs love them kind of tackles cos it makes it easy for them to pussy out with an easy yellow.

Having said that if that montage is an accurate depiction of his game and not just cobbled together by his agent I'd deffo have him.

I don't think it was just a break mate, he didn't take his missus and he shot off straight after the match when he usually has nibbles with JWH after the match when he's over doesn't he?

I was talking this over with a mate - the way Nainggolan tackles during matches.

He does tend to 'lunge' in and it certainly looks dangerous at times but the fact is, is that he takes the ball and certainly knows what he is doing. I also carried out a bit of research to see what his disciplinary record looks like and the fact is, is that he picks up his fair amount of yellow cards during each season but has only ever been red-carded once (two yellows in one game) and has never been red-carded for one singular tackle/incident.

I feel the English game will suit him. He takes no prisoners and players know he is about but his tackling is an art form and he's no worse than Javier Mascherano (who also knew how to tackle properly).

On board for this one. Think he'd be a superb fit in our midfield. Combative and full of energy for our pressing game, but knows how to use the ball and distribution is good.

Value for money can probably find better out there, but he is the perfect profile for us.

He seems to be a very good player. Admittedly I have not watched a hell of a lot of Roma football this season but every time I do, the commentators are always raving about him - even when Roma does not play well, he's usually one of the bright spots in the team. Seems to be very energetic and not bad going forward either
