      Gillett and Hicks Meeting.
      Jan 07, 2008 05:28:26 pm
I understand our friends Mr. Gillett and Mr. Hicks had a meeting today to discuss which plans for the new stadium are to be favored. The outcome will apparently be down to the strength of the financial backing they can acquire. (I thought thats what they were supposed to be doing )  Also on the agenda will be Rafa's future so we are led to believe. Has anyone heard any news on this one. ?

They will probably speak about Rafa and about the January transfer window budget - including Rafa's very probably desire to leave quietly in the summer if we cannot secure Mascherano - that is my opinion anyway... oh and they will discuss the scaled-back stadium plans too I suppose...

Parry has denied that the future of the manager is on the agenda for discussion at the meeting. He alledges that its all stadium orientated...

Parry, of course, the most trustworthy of sources...

Therefore, we can only speculate until something concrete emerges.

Well if Rafa is on the agenda the least they could have done was have the meeting in Liverpool and invite him. I dont trust these 2 at all and fear what they could do to the club

With Parry in that CEO position (and not a Hicks or Gillete family member) Rafa will NEVER have a quality relationship with the Yanks.  Parry will see to that...

Its a pity that the Hicks Gillett/Parry meeting isnt about selling our club,it has become more evident as every day goes by that they do not have the cash for our new ground and new players. In all this controversy thats gone on in recent months why have we not heard from John Moores, his silence has been deafening,he is still on the board isnt he.

      Symbolic role only.

I wonder if he has received all the funds or has a non-disclosure clause on his selling contract.

I think you are right mate, he certainly does not appear to have an active role at Anfield these days, probably still gets a salary though.
