I get what your saying but I think we do have to come to terms with our current situation we simply cannot afford any world class players at the moment so maybee it is about adjusting our expectations of the players we have instead of insisting they be the worlds best just because they wear the red jersey.

Lucas in fairness has had the odd bordering-on- brilliant game, the type worthy of a Liverpool IX squad member. But I can’t for the life of me remember the games, or the opponents, and that’s the point…Most good to great players have an ever changing list of top ten moments where they have have excelled for their club and shone and those moments live long in the memory. Lucas? Not so much, I think he would struggle to have a top 3.
I really thought he was Benitez’s love child the way he kept on playing him over and over again, ensuring that he got more chances than a top Israeli minister to hold prime office. But dear I say it, Roy seems to have an affinity for the lad in all and at this point I’m more than perplexed! Aquilani is effectively sold, and Lucas is even deeper entrenched in our first team? Go figure. Once the two dickheads take their travelling freak show back to God’s Own, our next campaign must surely be to rid ourselves of Lucas. Liverpool simply cannot be that badly off.
