      Pride in L.F.C
      May 02, 2008 04:26:35 pm
On Wednesday night as you all did I sat on watched my team loae out to Chelsea in the champions league semi final. I seen a clear cut peno desicion not given to us an at the end of the day an own goal was effectively the difference.

However after Wednesday night my pride in this club and my love for this club has grown even more. To see our manager and several players giving intervies after the game with such dignity and grace. There was no tears no hard luck stories no blaming the ref no moaning or bitternes. That is what sets LFC apart from any other club in the world who dare call themselves the greatest. Our opponents on Wednesday are a perfect example of the opposite to us. They still cry about Luis goal in 05!! Our players spoke of challenging again next year on all fronts not of what ifs and maybes

At about 10.30 in my pub they played youll never walk alone and to a man every red in the place, and 90% stayed on they didnt run home in defeat, sung there heart out as we would have done in victory. We talked about the game and the future again not crying about defeat but looking forward. I read a post by Eddie c yesterday how he shook the hand of Chelsea fans where he watched it..the Liverpool way

So while im gutted as no doubt you all are im as proud today as I ever have been of this great club and know we will be back bigger and better

I did exactly what Eddie C did- it actually felt good rather than trying to find an excuse as why we lost

in the end of the day excuses count for nothing - we are still a mightily successful club with maybe the most promising and exciting future, i'm proud to be a red, i'm proud to have a team who never gives up, i'm proud of a manager who doesn't find excuses but rethinks strategies, i'm proud to have witnessed all this, the final in istanbul, the final in athens, the battle in stamford bridge (i'm only young :S), and i'll be even prouder the day we lift the big cups again and we WILL lift them

Pride is Liverpool, Passion is Liverpool, The Future is Liverpool.

You sum up so well just what our club, manager, players and fans values are all about, it's a pity I can't include our present owners in the list.  I too was extremely proud of our performance in the semi final, and that in a year when the the board and back room situation at LFC has been in turmoil, to say the very least.
Can you imagine what the manager and team will be capeable off when all the ownership sh*t is resolved and we can move forward at a pace.

I think we are the only club with the players and supporters alike who have pride in our club. People call me a glory hunter other people say why do you support liverpool. I support liverpool because its more than just a club to me. Its being able to stand at anfield and show my pride and support. Its about the blood, sweat and tears that every memeber of liverpool fc have given of the years. So yeah they can call me a glory hunter, but at the end of the day I have supported Liverpool all my life and will continue to support them as I will never walk alone. I am proud to have the liver bird upon my chest.

      Pride, Passion and sacrifice

Ever since I got this computer to talk or give my opinion about the team have I come to understand or at least get an understanding of how just how big and how much the club means to so many people around the world. Their are many like myself whose only contact with the people who support the club is through the computer and to listen to people who have been to games an hour or so before is fantastic and to hear how the goals went in or other talking points are manna from heaven to the old or young who couldn't get to games because of finances or distance in travel. You guys out their make me proud that 40 odd yrs ago a gang of students used to argue over how well the teams we supported were doing and who were going to win the league ect, ect, ect, and now thanks to all of you I feel part of something I thought wouldn't come again. You give me the pride to call myself a Liverpool supporter.  Y.N.W.A
