Keane issues title warning to Liverpool

Roy Keane has warned Liverpool Football Club that their title record is under serious threat.

The Sunderland manager saw his former club Manchester United record their seventeenth league title this season, and he is sure Sir Alex Ferguson will lead them to another which would equal Liverpool’s total of eighteen.

Not only this, but the Irishman also predicts United can beat Chelsea in Wednesday’s UEFA Champions League final in Moscow which would put them just two behind the Anfield club in Europe.

"I think the manager said it himself, his target was to knock Liverpool off their perch,” he told the Daily Mirror. "He's done that in terms of winning Leagues but I think, don't worry, he'll be wanting to win European Cups as well.

"So the thing is to catch up with Liverpool next. They've won it five times. They're the target that Alex Ferguson set at United when he first got the job. If they were to win it then it would be the third time they'd won the European Cup.”

He needs to concentrate on stopping his team from getting relegated next season. Just bl**dy do your own job, let others do theirs.

Who the F**k does he think he is?!  :f_steam:

Oh, thanks for the warning Roy, after all we Liverpool fans know nothing of the history of our club and can't count past the number 3, so thanks for coming and enlightening us and making the situation so much clearer. c**t.

With his talent for reporting breaking news like this maybe he's looking to be the new Trevor McDonald, he could do with a change of career because he's a sh*te manager....

First the guy has to win another title and the way things look they may have to do it without Ronaldo he is on about going to Spain after the finale in Moscow and if you take him out of their team the points and wins disappear so the chances of winning another title will only get harder....

This is what gets me... The hypocracy they say its 17 League Titles, 10 of which have been Premiership titles which in their opion is ok to add to their overall titles. Yet when it comes to us about boasting of our 18 league titles they always retort about saying we have never won the premiership. So really its only their 10th league title because according to them the English league didnt start until the Premiership, seems to me they want their cake and eat it. Does anyone have an idea what Im talking about here??

      Because I dont ;D

Liverpool's tally of 18 Football League championships is a record for English clubs, a record that may be ........................ ........................ ......., although Liverpool are yet to win the title in the 16 year long Premier League era.

Liverpool's seven League Cup victories is a record, being two clear of Aston Villa.

Liverpool achieved the League and FA Cup "Double" in 1986 and have won three trophies in one season twice - the first of League, League Cup and European Cup was achieved in 1984, and in 2001 comprising the FA Cup, League Cup and UEFA Cup.

Liverpool's total of five European Cups is an English record and the third highest total overall, after Real Madrid and AC Milan.

The fifth victory in 2005 entitled Liverpool to receive the UEFA badge of honour, thus allowing them to keep a full size version of the trophy permanently.

I don't think he's a sh*te manager, remember how well he did in the Championship last season? And he's still pretty much a rookie manager.

Maybe if Sunderland dont lie down and die when the play Utd it might help contribute to a close run title race.
