PS3 XMB Improvement Idea

Off the official PS3 forums, one of the members has created something which i think is definitely much better than what Sony have come up with, with their latest update. It shows how bad Sony are, that a user has done a better job then them. Here's the video:

It's generating a lot of support on the Official PS3 website and hopefully Sony will get a hold of it. The creator has said he doesn't mind if Sony take his design.

I definitely think the fellow user info should be better accessible.

However a fair number of people on my friends list I don't interact with that often so I don't see why I would need to pre download all their info.

Maybe I just need to trim my friends list?

Or maybe they could tweak that a little and just have like a sort of drop down of the friend's info when you press 'X' on their name. The design in itself looks neat and i would love to have that as the XMB.
