We got done by a good run. Completely against the run of play. We've got to keep our heads up. We will get a few good chances in the second half, but we need to make sure we bury them. I've got a feeling Stevie might grab one.

Yes, we're losing. This is the situation we're comfortable with. If we take the early lead, we'll lose. So now all we need is another comeback.

See I know we can come back, but will we? We look very flat out there...

Need more from riera and Kuyt on the wings  .  we cannot penetrate from the middle ,they are too tight there (athletico i mean )

Terrible first half, we don't look like creating much and Rafa formation is too negative in a game we should be pressing their poor back-line.

Not sure how to sum up that first half really... We haven't played badly, far from it, and have looked threatening for certain periods. We just seem to be missing that cutting edge in the final third. Keane has again disappointed me - he has had chances, once again only half chances so they are forgiveable, except when you add up the number of half chances he's missed since he's been here! He needs to get shots in, and on target!

Riera has again showed glimpses of brilliance down the left, not the kind of prancing pony tricks like Ronaldo, but effective touches that beat a man and open up space. He is quickly establishing himself as a first team regular, and is deservedly keeping Babel and Benayoun on the bench! More of him in the second half could work us a breakthrough.

The plan of action? Not sure, we're not doing much wrong, the passing hasn't been bad, nor has the movement. We just need to keep at it, force more opportunities, and be more clinical!

Come on Reds, let's make it work!

the passing has been shocking in the first half, we definetly need to improve on that.  we made 2 or 3 great chances in the first half, if we continue to make them we'll eventually put 1 or 2 away................. i hope.

Where's the noise? Very disturbing to say Atletico are making more noise than us at home on a European night.

Our gameplay though has lacked alot in the final third. Alby has been great on the left and probably should kick Robbie out of his spot and tell him to concentrate on being that lone striker, not drifting to the wings alot. Let's get direct, make some noise, try punish them. Get Babel on very soon in the second half and get some direct play.

Maybe Babel up with Keane? With Masch going off?

I hope so, or put Babel wide right and push Kuyt would has been our best scorer upfront with Keane.
