Old disused railway track known localy as the 'rallagh'. It runs right through the city from the south, through the north and then onto Southport. This pic is taken from the West Derby location - which is literally right next to the Bill Shankly Playing Fields and a ten minute walk away from Melwood.
Here's a pic of when it was in use back in 60's with a steam train running through Broadway, Norris Green - which would have been the next stop after the West Derby one above.
And this bridge is literally right next to the one above. This is the steel bridge that passes over Utting Avenue - the Road that leads up to Anfield. It's about a 25 minute walk from this bridge and you can see Anfield in the distance from here.
Croxteth Hall in Croxteth Park, which is in West Derby - right by Melwood. Used to always be here when I was a kid.
Pathway leading to the hall
The Royal Liver Building
The infamous Nation club where Cream used to have their nights, for all you clubbers out there. Just behind those trees and funny looking giant lolliops.
Mathew St, where The Beatles used to play the Cavern. Very busy night spot.
St Lukes church, known locally as the bombed out church. Because it was bombed in WW2 but amazingly the outside of the building still remains. The inside of the church is a big garden with trees and flowers etc.
That'll do for now. I'll have to have a look at what pics I have knocking about.
