      The full back problem
      Dec 04, 2008 11:47:25 am
Thinking about it, Arbeloa and Dossena aren't playing upto the standards required of them so I was thinking, why not play this as our back 4:

      Carragher   Agger   Skrtel/Hyypia    Insua

      ?

Dossena has been good in one game out of more than 15. Surely that isn't good :S ?

That is the only game when i have seem him and thought, he seems a good player. The rest of the games i have felt like smashing up my TV to be quite honest with you. Arby is doing OK but i honestly think Carragher would be better.

      Just about opinions pal:)

O i no its just opinions

I just dont think its a good idea to drop a player of the back of their best game. And Carra is a CB, theres no point putting him at RB and then having a CB problem

I wouldn't play him right back in the premier league would be too costly and would put too much pressure on our centre backs, maybe in the next champions league game though and see how it goes?

Dossena is a useless peice of crap! I wouldnt mind seeing Insua given a chance. Carragher at right back is a waste because he hasnt got the legs to bomb up and down like Arbeloa has.

Possibly trying Agger at left back when Skrtel returns is a possibility because he has got the fitness.

I never said there was anything wrong with his form if you read what i said properly :)

I just said he hasn't been playing amazing like some people have said he has. What amazing performance has he had this season?

Why is everybody making such a fuss about our full backS if our right back is as you put it .. OUTSTANDING?

I wouldn't play Carragher at right back. He doesn't offer us anything going forward like Arbeloa does, and since Arby has been good going forward and Defensively, there's no reason to drop him.

I'd give Dossena some time, aswell.

I don't think (provided our left back situation changes with Dossena successfully adapting) our back 4 needs any changing.
The biggest problem is left back, and if that's sorted, our defence will be hole-less.

The idea isn't that daft, it has been suggested by a few people. He can pass, carry a ball out of defence, he's quick, and can obviously defend. He could actually do a good job there in my opinion.

Arby is playing brialliant and always with a lfc standard.

dossy played well in pre-season and in the last game and we need to give him time but giving insua a chance isn't bad idea.

Carra doens't have the fitness to go up and down and he is experinced cb.

I would not put neither agger nor skrtel in full-backs.
