First post for a while (and maybe for sometime afer) cos I'm in me sickbed at the moment, coughing me guts up with this F***ing flu.
Anyway back to more important matters than my health
Liverpool's health. I've said it before maybe we're not playing sh*t, but simply as well as we can. We're into December now and that has got to be more than just a bad run of form. We've had the odd special performance - United/Everton/Chelsea but three out of fifteen? That's more than playing sh*te. People'll look at the Wigan and City games where we've scored three and say we played well but we didn't really, we played well in spells. They weren't games we dominated for large periods, instead they were games very much like Fulham and West Ham except in those cases we didn't take the chances when they came.
We're playing to a reasonable level at times, for example the second half against City or the first half against Bolton, but seem unable to keep pressure on for the majority of a match. We need to up it from reasonable form though rather quickly. There's players who still need to up their game, and that's not just the obvious choices but the likes of Agger, Masch and Riera as well.
Don't get me wrong, I'm over the moon we're top and I couldn't give a monkeys if we draw every game from now until May if it means we win the league, but I'm starting to feel that 15 league games into a season is too long to keep saying "we can only get better". You look at our form and think it can only get better surely, but if it hasn't between Sunderland and West Ham why will it suddenly kick into place now?
