Roque Santa Cruz (Blackburn)

I'm sure you've read this on the BBC Sport website this morning

Pretty much Santa Cruz has dropped a hint that he will be on his way out of Ewood park in January should a more ambitious club show interest in him.
Anyone else think he would be a brilliant signing for us?
I couldn't see him getting sold on the cheap like Owen but he can get goals out of nothing in tight games which is what we need while nando is out and I'd like us to sign another striker anyway, as a bit of reassurance in case of injuries.
Plus, if these rumours are true that Lawro has been spouting about Robbie Keane and he really is leaving we must sign another striker anyway.
Thoughts on Santa coming late this xmas? 

I think its a good idea, we all seem to want another striker and he is the answer to all our problems. What a christmas present that would be.

Either its horrible attitude or coming back to Earth but he has been useless this season. I know Blackburn have struggled on a whole but he really has done nothing to suggest he is good enough. Let him go to City.

Babel, Gerrard, Agger, Skrtel and Insua are all fast.

they are fast but not clinical + I'd really ike him back!!! hes  just that touch of class we need !

I don't know about this one, could turn out to be a real flop and I think he may be a one season wonder. He has done absolutely nothing this year and I don't really think he would be a good enough player for Liverpool.

Also, I saw in a few newspapers that Sam Allardyce only agreed to join if Blackburn were going to keep Santa Cruz, so the transfer is probably very unlikely.

well I think he'd be really good for us. of course, not instead of nando, cos we all now there is not a player in the world that could replace him, but I think he's pretty good in the box, he's strong (stronger than torres) and he's a great header and a has very good shot. he's not that fast, but thats just what fernando needs: plenty of space to move..so IMO, he'd be great with a liverpool shirt on for christmas c:
