cheers!  it does wind me up though our phone system.  I always manage to get through, but how much money must we have all spent over the years trying to get through.

I'll have to tell the kids, that their birthday is off this year, as Daddy's going to watch the game and spent all their present money on phone calls.  Worth it though!

For a club the size of Liverpool, the ticket situation is absolutely appalling, a huge priority to get this sorted, but to be honest with you, I can't see anything changing till we get our new stadium, if and when that eventually happens.

I wouldn't like to be in your shoes when it's your kids birthdays........ just sit them down and explain all about the history of our great club  hopefully they'll understand 

online sale sold out within 20 minutes and they are still selling tickets on the phones all be it down to singles, could they not simply allocate more tickets to the online sale?

Yeah been there mate, was lucky to get straight through this morning but normally its a pani and i tried to log to the online system this morning at around 8.08am exactly and couldnt get on cause it was too busy! =/

No joy for me tried on line and on the phones all day, i hate the way you get teased, sometimes the music kicks in for five seconds, and i think yes i'm in only for the lady to tell me otherwise.

Last season I managed to get quite a few tickets on the phones, later in the day, and mainly for the second half of the season (obviously wasn't as much demand last year) i just wish they could give priority to those who attended quite a few games last season, then i might have a better chance, they give priority  for Euro and Cup games, so why not the League?

I agree but the amount of people who phone in anyway someone is always going to be dissapointed just would sell out quicker id imagine

after reading all the posts i figured my chances couldn't get any worse than this!!!  I've been sourcing for LFC vs Blackburn tickets on 11 Apr 09 from early March.  Even wrote to the club, ticket sales etc etc and was told to wait for general sales, which i did.
From 8.30 am to about 2.30 pm (UK time yesterdat) i tried calling and redialing non-stop.  i got thru not less than 30 times but was only told to try again!! What rotten luck!!
i'm travelling from Singapore and planned this trip couple months ago and all my accommodation in London and Liverpool all confirmed.  Even got the stadium and museum tour confirmed.
Now i'm so darn dissapointed and frustrated that i truly had run out of options and may never get to see the team in action!!!

Please anyone.. i'm begging, pleading, howling etc etc help me out to procure 2 adults +1 child tickets for 11 April 09 and i'm forever indebted!!  HONESTLY THIS IS MY LAST HOPE AS I"M TRULY RUNNING OUT OF IDEAS

I dont get it, people know they are making trips months or weeks in advance and yet they come on here post once and hope that someone helps them out ,if you know the site exists come on in, put a few posts in, join in a bit, you might get a lot more luck in the hunt for tickets that way ,keep coming back and checking you never know .

I have the same question. Maybe two spare tickets anyone? Tried hospitality, phone, postal. All hopeless. :-(

I'm travelling from Dundee and have a tour booked for 12th April with the young lad and we'd hoped to take in the Blackburn game on the Saturday. As seems to be pretty much the norm from what I've read on here so far, a very frustrating morning was spent hitting the redial button on Tuesday and online attempts were futile. I have now submitted a postal application but, as there only seems to be single seats left and I'm not prepared to send my 7 year old off to a different part of the ground from me, I don't hold out much hope for that either.

If I could just tap into a bit of local knowledge - how likely is it that tickets 'surface' in the days before or on the day of a game and are these tickets likely to be ridiculously priced? Are there usually rogue tickets for sale outside the ground and will these even be genuine.

The wee lad's desperate to go (aren't we all!) but I'm not prepared to pay the kind of money these external agencies are looking for but would go a bit over the odds for a one off.

Failing all that what's the best place to go in the surrounding area to watch it on the telly with a bit of atmosphere (must let kids in)

There will be tickets for sale outside the ground..............what they cost is anyone's guess, depends how desperate you are, and they usually get a bit cheaper as you get nearer to kick off, I personally wouldn't ever buy from a tout, as they are the scum of the earth, but that's personal opinion.

The Sandon pub which is a stone's throw from the ground and is near the kop has a very good atmosphere, they have large screens for watching matches and allow children in.

Good luck with your trip and enjoy the tour, the trip will be worth it for that alone.
