Convincing win but again left a bit cold by Joshua's performance. Just lacks that bit of edge.

He's a technically very good boxer but he just doesn't have that raw anger perhaps that the champions have.   Strange.   Not getting any younger so should sort out a fight with Fury and then the pair of them can retire.  Think that's the issue, how much money does he need to not fight again.

Joshua never been the same fighter since Ruiz caught him out a few years ago. Not gone on to that next level that others in the division have.

Since Fury looks like he will do everything he can not to fight Usyk I expect that the AJ-Fury fight will get made at some point soon as it's pretty risk free for Fury.

      Good fight there, Joshua/Franklin.

To be honest, Joshua doesn't look like he's been in a fight.  Other lad looks a mess.

Nice bit of afters after the 12th round as well!

Thought he was very poor JD and made hard work of it. Like you though I did enjoy the afters  more than the fight.  ;D

Yes 'raw anger' or lacking a bit of courage or the type of Bugner 'self preservation'. Whatever it is he just hasn't lived up to the early hype. Stands off even when he lands a decent punch.

Fury isn't as great as he thinks. AJ could beat him but it'll drag on and yes it will become a 'pension plan' fight.

Time for Fury to be stripped of this title and the heavyweight division to move on. Absolutely disgraceful that he’s making exhibition fights with a MMA lad when the unification fight is there to be made.

I’m not sure he gives a fcuk anyway. He’s box office and it’s where the bucks are presently.

He doesn't give a fcuk. He's done wrestling ... now it's this. The money is rolling in.

If I was him I'd have done the unification bout and called it a day and enjoy the money.

I didn’t like him at first but grown on me now. 😂 He’s defo a marmite type of guy isn’t he. The majority of boxing fans love him and that’s why he gets ridiculous wages. No one can touch him at the moment and with his checkered past of ups and downs I can understand why he’s loved so much in the public domain.

Great great fight and fair play to Eubank. Fancied Smith but he was totally out boxed.

1-1 Will there be a decider?

Chris Eubank Jr's trainer Brian McIntyre charged with firearm possession in Manchester
Boxing trainer Brian 'Bomac' McIntyre has been charged with possession of a firearm after a gun was found in luggage at Manchester Airport.

McIntyre, 53, trained Chris Eubank Jr for the Briton's rematch with Liam Smith on Saturday.

He was arrested at the airport on Sunday as he prepared to board a flight back to the United States.

McIntyre was remanded in custody by magistrates on Monday and is due appear at Manchester Crown Court next month.

"Officers were called to reports of a possible firearm being found in hold luggage by airport staff at Manchester Airport," Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said.

"GMP officers attended, and the firearm was seized.

"Subsequently, a 53-year-old man was arrested for possession of a firearm and was taken to custody for further questioning.

"Brian McIntyre from the United States of America was charged with possession of a firearm and possession of ammunition for a firearm without a certificate."

McIntyre was remanded into custody after attending Stockport Magistrates Court on Monday.

He is next due to appear at Manchester Crown Court on Monday, 9 October, police said.

The incident took place at about 10:45 BST on Sunday as McIntyre was preparing to board a flight back to the US following 33-year-old Eubank's 10th-round TKO victory against Smith at Manchester Arena.

American McIntyre is widely regarded to be one of the best boxing coaches in the world and is responsible for guiding Terence Crawford to greatness, helping his compatriot become the first two-weight undisputed world champion in the four belt era when he beat Errol Spence Jr.

McIntyre is firmly in the running to be named 'Trainer of the Year' for 2023.

Eubank's camp offered no comment when approached by BBC Sport.

Looked well out of his class. Got a feeling that would of happened in the first fight had Eubank of been arsed instead of been distracted by the Benn stuff.

Lian would of got a nice pay day for the 2nd fight.

Joyce for his own safety should not be allowed into a ring he might meet a proper boxer next time who could do him serious damage.

Which begs the question who thought it a good idea to allow Joyce to enter a ring?
