      Whats on in Merseyside
      Jan 23, 2009 09:06:17 am
      Merseyside is a metropolitan county in North West England, with a population of 1,365,900. Taking its name from the River Mersey, the title "Merseyside" came into existence as a metropolitan county in 1974, after the passage of the Local Government Act 1972, and the county consists of five metropolitan boroughs adjoining the Mersey estuary, including the City of Liverpool.

      That's the history of Merseyside.

      This is a post for you to tell us what is coming up on Merseyside;

      Any good events, good clubs, good party's, anything you like to tell us of what is going on in your area.

      Or anything about you,or your kids, like your team is playing in a final of a football match, darts match, your singing on stage, anything you like us to know about.

      This one I think is for dads and lads;

      Ryanair to launch Liverpool-Ibiza route

      RYANAIR has today announced it is to begin flying to Ibiza from Liverpool John Lennon Airport (JLA) next month.

      The airline, which will offer 44 destinations from Speke when the service launches, will fly three times a week to the Spanish party island.

      John Botty, Ryanair’s UK marketing manager, said: “We expect it to be big and believe we will carry an additional 600,000 passengers from Liverpool, which will take us to 3m passengers a year.

      For all you party people  ;)
