Today is the 90th birthday of the most sucessful yet most humble of men Sir Bob Paisley.

What this man achieved in the space of time he achieved it is frightening. We will always be indebted to Sir Bob for taking the reigns from Shanks and making us the greatest club side in the game.

      Gone but never ever forgotten

      Happy birthday Sir Bob Paisley

      Anothe year.

      Happy birthday Sir Bob.

How you must smiling to see your prodigy back in charge.

Happy memories of Bob. I met him regularly at my mate's garage (the Greyhound Garage in East Prescot Road, where Bob used to pick his horses every morning.)

My mate was the channel thru whom we got Souie from Middlesborough. At the time, if a player was transferred without asking he got 5% of the fee. If he asked for it, he got nothing. My mate is a friend of a Liverpool player(to remain nameless) who told Bob that Souie wanted to come to Anfield- he then told Sir Bob, who then went for him. That way Souie got his cut.
Bob was a lovely man, who never forgot his roots in the North East I've always credited Bob with being the architect of Liverpool's success. Mr Shankly was the Captain but Bob was the Chief Engineer who kept the ship in tip top condition.

Bob has joined the immortals as the greatest football manager ever.

      R.I.P. Bob.

Yes indeed RIP Sir Bob, never to be forgotten, fantastic man, a one off, they broke the mould when Bob was born,..just one of his many quotes... ''Aye, I've been here throught he bad times too, one year we came second''  sheer class, God Bless Bob!

      Another quote by Sir Bob

"“If you're in the penalty area and don't know what to do with the ball, put it in the net and we'll discuss the options later.”"

and after winning the European Cup in Rome...
""This is the second time I've beaten the Germans here... the first time was in 1944. I drove into Rome on a tank when the city was liberated. If anyone had told me I'd be back here to see us win the European Cup 33 years later I'd have told them they were mad! But I want to savour every minute of it... which is why I'm not having a drink tonight. I'm just drinking in the occasion." "

      And best of all

Bill Shankly spent his first Saturday afternoon in retirement watching his local home match, Everton - Derby County. Meanwhile Liverpool were playing at Luton and when the press asked Bob what Shankly was doing this particular afternoon, he replied:
"He's trying to get right away from football. I believe he watching Everton."

The man was a genius Fourbrick, a one off as i mentioned, i think the first quote was after Keegan had a brief loss of form and was a typical remark from Bob to gee him up.
