      Would that be Italy, won it in 1934 on home soil & retained in 1938 and then WWII interrupted and the next final was in 1950 in Brazil, in which Uruguay regained the trophy the had been the inaugural winners of.

      As a clue, it happened in in 2004 and Robbie Fowler holds a record in the same vein, albeit his was 2 minutes & 13 seconds slower.

      I worked out it was the fastest football league hat trick but had to google the scorer so won't  spoil it for everyone !
