      It could save Roeder's job if Newcastle win.  Any scent of their first bit of silver and they will forget about the Premiership performance.

      I don't think the barcodes can forget about there Prem performances they have been awful and even if they done the unthinkable and actually won the cup I don't think it will be enough to save Roeders job :D

      Newcastle for relegation  8)

      Listening to the crowd chant EASY EASY againts the reds today hurt, they still sing we won the league on merseyside for gods sake.
      If your going to the quater final, like me, get behind the Red men and lets create an atmosphere to put the s4its up Arsenal.
      Thierry Henry has stated that the only other side in the prem he would play for is Liverpool, for the simple reason of the support. Now they had the last laugh today, come on lets deafen Henry and his southern softy shandy drinkin foreigners and get the season back on track.

      i kinda  agree with that but i want to win this cup heres the team i would go with:

      ===========Reina

      =finnan=carra=agger=warnock

      pennant=gerrard=alonso=garcia

      ====Fowler= Crouch

      subs: kuyt, dudek, hypia, gonzalez, riise

      not the strongest team but its a strong team

      Another cracker lined up for Tuesday night.  Bet Arsenal are going to pissed off at us now we are above them.

      It's going to be a good test for us to see how if we have improved playing against a top 4 side.  We haven't done too well against them all so far in the Premiership.

      Even Pennant is starting to look half-decent.  Hope he gets his first goal against his old club.

      I walked out of College earlier and bloody hell the fog was bad.
      I knew the game was going to be called off eventually.
      But if you think if it was bad down at Anfield... few miles down the road from me and this is how Prenton Park looked! Tranmere's game was also postponed.

      Gutted, I was already to get comfy and watch us smack The Arse !!  ;) ;D

      When we gonna fit this one in ???  >:(

      Three days after the FA Cup game .... :( Henry is expected to be back fit.

      January fixtures piling up already.  Feel sorry for all the reds for who last night probably was a Christmas present organised by their girlf/s, wives, etc etc etc.

      I hope the fog's gone by Saturday cos I am a bit back in the main stand...!

      I'm in Doncaster just outside the city. Where is Narre Warren? Tickets for boxing day were like goldust and I couldn't get any. Maybe get some for the fourth or fifth day if it lasts that long!! But def going to the first onedayer. Disappointing about the match earlier wasn't it?

      Narre Warren is in the south eastern suburbs...near Hallam and Berwick approx 40kms out of the city. Very dissapointed about the match being postponed coz now Jan is gonna be pretty full on, but we arte the Reds and have a big squad ..... so I'm sure Rafa will be rotating squad...for sure!!!

      good luck getting tickets....I'm just going to savour Warnie getting his 700th on Channel 9!!! :cool-smiley-027:

      Not too sure where we got to with this thread but I have it on very good authority as to why our match was called off against Anfield.

      Although the fog wasn't 'that bad' Sky had problems with their HD cameras in the Fog and would not have been able to transmit their High Def channel that night.

      Just for those who travelled half way around the country you can thank that bunch you pay £50 to every month!!

      SKY TV eh.  Far far too much power in English football.

      I kinda  agree with that but I want to win this cup heres the team I would go with:

      ===========Reina

      =finnan=carra=agger=warnock

      pennant=gerrard=alonso=garcia

      ====Fowler= Crouch

      subs: kuyt, dudek, hypia, gonzalez, riise

      not the strongest team but its a strong team

      what about KUYT

      It would be a great foundation to beat Arsenal in FA cup this weekend, work on to the Carling Cup Tuesday. I know Carling Cup is less prestigeous but to get one over on Arsenal after our 3-0 loss this year would be nice. Follow that up with a league win in March and we are laughing. All games (Bar second leg of Carling Cup) are at anfield so why not. Lets reverse that 3-0 loss earlier in yr on Saturday in FA cup
