      Anfield Steward.

They watch more of the match than us fans.  Occassionally tell the odd guy to sit down in the Centenary thats all they do!

      Oh an the odd streaker,

      Top job!

I'd clean the players boots just to be a part of Liverpool FC - but if Keane keeps p*ssing off Rafa, he'll be doing it.

To be honest, whenever I've seen them they're keeping their eyes on the crowd rather than the game, after all that is their job. Their job isn't to stand there and watch the football match.

Maybe some "special" massages would do the players some good, since everyone says that Rafa is destroying their confidence at the moment!

Let them know they're appreciated! ;)

Not a great job either mate. The appeal of being close to the footballers will wear off after a short period of time.

Your point was they watch the match more than the fans.

You want to try sitting in the divide mate - worst steward job going if you're a proper red! Or being on the turnstyle's checking tickets and missing kick off. Or getting over the boards before half time and full time.

But fair do's. Some of the cliques on the steps get to watch the match in it's entirety. How often do you see stewards singing though? Maybe the rule that you can't show any emotion if you're a steward should be changed and then some frans could join in!!!  ;)

I do Stewarding at Anfield and I love it. Never have to worry abar tickets for massive games and the beauty is they pay ya (40 snots per game).Your allowed to watch the game,as long as ya dont take the piss.In fact they tell ya to stand side on so ya can watch the game and keep an eye on the crowd. All that abar ya've gotta have ya back to the pitch is bolllx. No singing or cheering though, but sometimes you do forget yourself.

Well as much as it is big ambitions anything is possible. One day I hope to be in that job line as well, but definitely not the EPL, because it might be too tough for us. Maybe something lesser, like the J-League, or other leagues such as the German/French leagues would do perfectly fine for me. Somewhere to sustain a good living, as well as fulfilling a lifetime ambition of working in a football club, barking orders on the touchline..

Give me a contract and I'll sign on a dotted line straight away. Nothing is more satisfying than beating the mancs at their toilet!

A British man has been appointed the new caretaker of an Australian tropical island, a six-month position described as "the best job in the world".

Ben Southall, 34, a charity fundraiser from Petersfield, Hampshire, emerged from a field of over 34,000 applicants.

The process gave a global profile to Australian tourism, which has gone into decline amid the worldwide recession.

His new job requires Mr Southall to live and report from Hamilton Island, on Queensland's Great Barrier Reef.

Mr Southall was chosen from among 16 finalists competing for the A$150,000 (£73,500; $110,000) position.
He was named as the successful candidate in a reality TV-style ceremony by Tourism Queensland.

Mr Southall said: "To go away now as the island caretaker for Tourism Queensland and the Great Barrier Reef is an extreme honour.
Parents "amazed" at son's new job" I hope I can fill the boots as much as everybody is expecting. My swimming is hopefully up to standard and I look forward to all the new roles and responsibilities that the task involves."

Mr Southall, who was congratulated by his vanquished rivals as his name was announced, will now begin the arduous task of preparing for life alone on the picture-perfect island.

As well as the salary, the post of caretaker at Hamilton Island comes with a three bedroom beach home, a swimming pool and golf cart.

The job description requires Mr Southall "to explore the islands of the Great Barrier Reef, swim, snorkel, make friends with the locals and generally enjoy the tropical Queensland climate and lifestyle".

As a thoroughly modern caretaker, Mr Southall will also be expected to report back to Tourism Queensland and the world via blogs, a photo diary, video updates and interviews.

He was chosen after the finalists spent four days on Hamilton Island undergoing a rigorous selection process involving snorkelling, barbecues and time at a spa.

The finalists also had to demonstrate their blogging abilities, take swimming tests and sit through in-person interviews. The BBC's Nick Bryant, in Sydney, says Tourism Queensland deliberately chose to launch the campaign back in January, in the midst of the northern hemisphere winter, but did not expect anywhere near the global response.

Web users viewed the online job description from almost every country except North Korea and a few African states, our correspondent reports.

This was in the news some time back and considered to be the best job.  But the GREATEST??  Being involved in Pool would be my greatest.
