To be honest, I actually have a good feeling about this game.  I know we're on a bad run  :( so I understand other people's negativity but I 100% believe we can win.
Chelski are a bit predicatable in the way that, once you stunt their full-backs, you stunt their attacking play.  They rely heavily on Boswinga and Cole so if Masch Xabi and co can do their heroics of Stamford Bridge on Sunday then we'll win.

Either 1-0 or 2-1 to the Reds to FINALLY get our title challenge back on track.  YNWA.

It will be a very tough game...we need to convert our chances into goals,  I believe that fat frank needs to be tracked, he is one of their main goal scorers.

      arbeloa---------carra------------------agger----------aurelio

      Babel-----------Gerrard------------Alonso--------Riera

      -------------------Torres------------Keane-------------

      Last chance?
Is this the 38th game of the season?
No. Never heard such rubbish in my life. Even if we draw this, we're still in the race.

We have to approach this game positively. Not with a mindset that we still got time left. Everytime we play as though the game lasts forever. But now from the start I want to see the team play as though we are into 90 minutes injury time and its still 0-0. That must be our mindset and mentality. To attack for 90 mins, never look back and score a few goals.

It's so annoying coming on here and just seeing the threads plastered with negative comments. There's no problem with being critical, but pure negativity is getting you nowhere, especially when there's no logic behind it.

We can win this match. Even if we don't, we are not by any means out of it and we still need to remain positive, just like the team.

Chelsea have'nt beaten us in the league since September 2006. Since that time we have drawn 2 and won 2. Have a good feeling that we will do the double over them in the league this season.

      2-0, Torres with them both.

Agree on the selection. Hoping for a 2-0 win but expecting a dull 0-0.

And we have a stronger team then we had in any of them seasons.

If watching premiership football for the last 10+ years has taught me one thing, it's that form counts for nothing going into these BIG games.
This season Arsenal went into their games against manure and chavs on the back of a disappointing run of results and ended up outplaying them and taking all 3 points.
We haven't done the double over chelsea since the 89/90 season and torres hasn't scored at anfield for 8 bloody months (which i never believed until i seen it on the offal site this morning). And going to stamford bridge this morning they hadn't been beaten at home for 4 years in the league, but runs like this always come to an end :D

The reason we always play well in the big games is because rafa always plays his strongest side. Which brings me onto the starting team.
I'd like to see rafa start this side:

                                                      Reina

      Arbeloa                 Carragher                          Skrtel                  Insua

      Kuyt                               Alonso            Mascherano                   Riera

                                               Gerrard

                                                      Torres

This game is going to kick start our season. It is.
I predict, and I'll be very happy with a 1-0, torres. Us controlling the game.
With manure beating the hopeless blues this is a MUST win game for us and if we do win, we will have come out of a weekend that was harder for us than utd taking the same amount of points which is a positive.

Come on redmen, lets find our form and reignite our season. :D

And your a fan? Yeah right.

Anyway back to the game, can only see Rafa opt for a 4-2-3-1 and leave Keane on the bench.

Big question for me is Kuyt or Benayoun who played well on Wednesday?

In my opinion, I would prefer Kuyt, his work rate's needed and he's proved he can score against the big teams.

Just checked over at a couple of CSKA Chav forums, and they're mostly under the impression that they're going to lose - or that the best they can hope for is a draw.

Shame. I liked our "underdogs" tag.

Could possibly go with Babel and Torres up front, hit them with pace because Carvalho is out and the other defenders bar Bosingwa dont have pace. Also Babel has done well against them when we have played them.

Sorry, i was wrong about you. Your not a dickhead, your a deluded and contradicting b***ard. You say we wont win the league unless Scum sleep till May but then go on and make the most ridiculous statement, 'I am 1000 times more fan than you' after i show some support and backing for the men that service this club. Its 'fans' like you that make me want to scream, those who think they know everything and cheer when we win but back stab us when chips are down/things arent exactly flowing. If we win against Chelsea and i see you celebrate i hope karma comes back to bite you in your bulging rear.

Just because you were in hospital your a thousand times more of a fan than me. I accept that, your more of a fan but i am a gazillion times more of a supporter and a patron of this club. When you say 'sack Rafa' or 'we wont win', i say 'lets ride this storm out and see how we go'. That's support you little swine.
