      Middlesbrough away, 18th November
      Nov 15, 2006 12:03:20 am
      1) Right... is this a tough one or is it a must win?
      2) What happens if we lose to them?
      3) What will the fans think about the team and Rafa if its a negative result?
      4) If we win what will that give us going in other away games?
      5) What do you predict the scoreline to be???

      1) I think this will be Liverpools first away Prem win, Boro are weak and Liverpool are much stronger!!
      2) If we lose to them we will be on the back pages of most newspapers, also rumors about Gerrard leaving might start
      3) The fans will defintely want Rafa's head, might start thinkin we don't have good enough players
      4) It will give us relief that we have won an away game and like Crouch's 24hr goal drough.. the away wins will start commin!
      5) I predict it to be Middlesbrough 0 - 2 Liverpool, Gerrard & Kuyt to get 2nd half goals just like Aston Villa last season!

      1) Right... is this a tough one or is it a must win?

It is both.  Tough (it's away from home isn't it!) and a must win. Silly question. Next.

      2) What happens if we lose to them?

We get 0 points. We all get more pissed off. Next.

      3) What will the fans think about the team and Rafa if its a negative result?

We will think the players are a lazy bunch of sods, not playing for the badge etc and Rafa will be one game closer to the sack (but he probably has about 200 in the bank)

      4) If we win what will that give us going in other away games?

'Give us going'??? Of course a win will give us confidence. Silly question. Next.

      5) What do you predict the scoreline to be???

3-1 to Liverpool.  1-0 to Boro at half time.  Benitez comes on for Steven Gerrard. Plays right wing. Scores a hat-trick. Buys his wife a new watch.

      Love it! ;D.

I'm with KoolKidda on most his answers, except I don't think Rafa will be close to the sack. And the scoreline... hmm, 2-1 to us?

This is a good line up,only change i would make is crouch in for one of the other front men, woodgate is better against pace than from crosses,so crouchy is the man here, especially as we would be playing too genuine wide men..Hopefully GOD will get a place on the bench as well, always good to have him in reserve.

I agree with redman, Woodgate looks uncomfartable against a good cross, he can read the game so well that he can deal with pace better than the aerial threat. Crouch and Kuyt have looked quite tasty together recently, I would give them a go up front, but other than that a sound looking 11 fella!

We have to get in the habit of getting results away from home full stop. I hate using the phrase but this is a must-win game against a team we should beat with ease, that said, I thinkn it will be close,  but 2-1 for the mighty reds is how I see it going. We will almost certainly go one down, but rally in the second half, Crouch being the unselfish provider for Kuyt to slam in his first league goals away from home.....

.....Come on the Reds.......Keep the faith, it WILL happen!!!

Thanks to those who were viewing and took part in the live discussion during the game.  We will do it again next time.

0-0 what can I say.  Total domination. Total inability to score.  Agger looked good.

Gerrard didn't look effective in central midfield.  Crouch should have been on from the start.  Created some decent chances.

16 points behind United.  We are officially in trouble - it's nearly December FFS.

      Completely pi**ed off.  :( :(

its so so anoying that we cant win away from home even tho things look certain to improve. we did take positives from that match liike daniel agger's good effort and the proformance of dirk kuyt. i think crouch should have  came on much ealier even perhaps started. and the crossing ability was really poor today i was watching it on the tv and listening to the radio on radio city a guy texted in say liverpool should hire a lollie pop lady to show them how to cross!we deply missed luis garcia today he has been fanstastic and momo sissoko was needed in the centre. pepe did well for me today but my man of the match would have to go to craig bellamy or dirk kuyt who both had wonderful games! bring on tthe first away win please.

as shanks once said we battered them 0-0

I could go on about Crouch not starting when we were playing with two wide men, Gerrard's inability to impose himself in the centre of midfield (maybe Zenden would have been more useful), Craig Bellamy's inability to ..well.. play, Gonzalez' poor adaptation to the Premiership (another Morientes?), Pennant' poor corners.

But to be honest I can feel my blood pressure rising even thinking about yesterday's game.  A long long way back from the North East for the travelling reds.

      It was grim up north.
