I believe that we should but one striker, preferably micheal owen from newcastle inorder to improve our goals in all compotitions, and a two right midfielder, get andre from depor for free and but simao since he is quality...his goal vs. pool was stunning.  after these two buys i believe LFC will challange for everything on top and become the same domminitating force in EPL, FA, Europe, Carling as they were in the 60's & 70's.

Not really feelin Owen to be honest, he is quality but the cost will be to much and the way he left still pisses me off......

I would really like to see Sergio Aguero as on his videos he looks class and he can play upfront or in midfield, I would also love to see joaquin, He would be awsome, Gonzalaz is gonna be a good signing......

overall tho I think we need 2 players for our 1st XI and maybe 2-3 squad players................

Don't want Michael Owen back, we're going forward not backwards,  he's too injury prone as well, as soon as he feels a bit of cold weather he starts to suffer with hamstrings etc.  Thats why he was ok abroad cos the weather was warmer.   :D

      Getting back to the topic

I think Dirk Kuyt is a realistic summer buy.  I don't think Rafa will make the mistakes that Houllier made after the last World Cup - Diouf, Diao etc etc

I agree... he's quality. But I doubt he'd come to us... he's young so I think his future may lie in Spain... unfortunate, would love to have him.

We only NEED one player this summer . Dirk Kuyt !!. We've got good cover for every position . We've got Gonzalez coming - he can play on the right . We just need an out and out goalscorer.

      Your right Pablo,

Problem is we reckon we need to buy him before the world cup.
I think that news story today about Rafa saying he wants the money before the World Cup suggests he is interested in signing a big name player - not just a youngster - like Aguero for instance - so maybe Dirk Kuyt is a real target.

      DEFOE - SPURS (£10M)

      STELIOS - BOLTON (£2M)

WEVE ALREADY GOT MILLITTO, AURIELLO, AND GONZALEZ ON ROUTE.

PEOPLE ARE SUGGESTING BIG MONEY FOREIGN BUYS LIKE KUYT.
HE'S DONE WELL IN HIS DOMESTIC LEAGUE BUT CISSE WON TOP SCORRER IN HIS TWICE...MORIENTES WAS A LEGEND IN SPAIN....IT MEANS NOTHING.

THE EASY WAY TO GAURENTEE A RETURN IS TO SIGN PROVEN PREMIERSHIP PLAYERS.  DEFOE AND STELIOS ARE THAT.

i agree with you about Defoe but Stelios is 32 now if he gets a bad injury it's wasted money, he's only got a couple of years left in him. Defoe or Kuyt for me, agrero is ment to be a done deal.

stelios could have a similar impact IMO...he gets in the goals...and it would give Anderson time to develop.

i think Defoe's a great buy for 10million but he, also like Stelios and Nisteldrooy are players that need passes 2 com theyre way and theyll do the rest.....

Also Nisteldrooy used 2 score many goals before because he had Beckham getting the ball forward 4 him. We hav Alonso but i think the day Alonso duznt start they wont perform.... I say we need som1 like Hasselbaink or Kuyt 2 is really gud....

Also Gonzalez's equaliser against Real Madrid was Stunning so we hav most of the players we need 2 finish next season 1st

No to Defoe - I don't think he'd be good enough for us. And as for Stelios, he's already signed a new contract at Bolton so he won't be coming us either.

we need to off load Nando and Cisse. With the money put in a serious bid for Torres & with Birmingham going down this year we should dive in and acquire Pennant. Pennant will bite your hand off to get to Anfield. He's a Liverpool fan and hoped we'd come in for him before Birmingham offered him a full contract. Plus in my opinion I can't see Spurs letting Defoe come to us, so I'd rather spend less money and get a better striker in Belamy!

I'm a Liverpool fan and I wouldn't want Owen back... not because he's no good, but because we'd be buying him back for more than we sold him for and that's just cutting into our budget for buying another striker to replace him when he's sat on the bench with an injury.

I wouldn't want him neither, far to injury prone for my liking, the weather here doesn't suit him, look at his record so far at NEWCASTLE, i heard from a little bird that we have got a straight swap lined up with Everton - Arteta for Cisse.  What do you make of that ?

i totaly agree with what you are saying about the money althogh you can not denie that he would be a striker with serious ability aswe all know and after the world cup im sure he wont want to be playing for the geordies
