      Superbowl XLIII
      Feb 01, 2009 12:58:46 pm
Superbowl tonight folks, any one going to stay up and watch it?
I may catch the 1st quarter, but 13 1/2 hour shift tomorrow will impact greatly.
Don't care who wins, but annoyed that my be-loved New York Jets aren't there. Doing well for most of the season and then grabbed defeat from the jaws of victory.

If any one is interested it's on BBC1 from 11pm 'til after 3am

Pittsburgh Steelers (only team with their badge on one side of their helmet)
      vs
      Arizona Cardinals

I'll probably watch the entire thing because I'm American and it's considered sac religious for an American sport fan to not watch it. I hate the Steelers with a passion, so I'm going for the Cardinals.

Steelers are going to win though.

Good finish to the Super Bowl, but god they have more breaks than Bryan Robson in his heyday !!

Don't really understand all the technical stuff of it but it was still exciting to watch.

Shame the Cardinals got pipped at the post. We had the first Aussie to ever play in a Superbowl playing for Arizona. He must have been real gutted to be so close with only a few seconds to go.

I watched some of it but there were far too many breaks in play, just constantly stop start stop start and so on (Perfect game for Mike Riley then ;)). After a while I got bored watching it and put 10,000BC on for some reason.

Was it me or do the fans there act really mellow for a team who just won the 'biggest sporting competition in the world'?

It was a corker of a game with a great ending and i was more excited than most fans there just standing on the spot not even cheering when the player got awarded with the MVP. Poor display on that part.

Gutted for Ben Graham too Aussie, seems like a really nice bloke and for him to lose it so late was a shame.

You Ozzies seem to be getting quite used to loosing at the moment. ::)

      Don't worry, Ashes soon isn't it. :f_doh:

Ozzies, or Aussies? as you come from Oz, on Aus, but its Australia not Oztralia???

Biggest sporting competition in the world is undoubtedly the World Cup. These Yanks don't half big themselves up, do they? ::)
