England have been threatening to do this for a while.  France were just in the wrong place at the wrong time.

      Bit like Manure yesterday.  ;D

A poor England finished second, after scoreing more and conceeding fewer than another.

      Well done Ireland.

Even though I don't really like Rugby, I was still gripped by the closing stages of the match.

      Top stuff.

Not a big Rugby fan myself but I would watch all the Ireland matches. It was sooooooooooooooooooo tense in the last couple of minutes. I really thought before O'Gara's drop kick that that was it and we had lost. But thankfully O'Gara came up with the goods to put us in front. I could have killed Paddy Wallace for giving the penalty away in the last minute. I think had it been Henson (no harm to your man Jones because he scored every other penalty that he had) the ball would have gone over the bar cause he just missed one from 50 yards by a matter of centermeters and this one was from 48 yards. Anyway, well done to Wales for putting up a great fight. But I'am so delighted that we won. Heart was pumping so quickly but when Murphy ended the match by kicking it out, I jumped up and started singing. I have never reacted that way to a Rugby match ;D

A great day for Ireland, I am delighted but my nerves couldn't take that kind of finish again. Hard luck to Wales, the game was 50/50 towards the end.

is it right that no team has ever won the six nations like twice in a row?
Gutted that Wales couldnt stop Ireland from winning the Grand Slam but credit where credit is due, Ireland deserved it
at the end of the day. 61 years since they last done it, but look out next year, Wales will be out for revenge  :P :)

Jesus, what a game that was!

Wales were brilliant, some very hard hits...............but i think the Irish just about deserved their win and place in Irish Rugby history.

I feel like i have just woke up from an autopsy, very sick today......all worth it though, and i'm sure i will have more reasons to celebrate at 6pm this evening ;)

What an absolute cracking match.  My heart was in my mouth with that last kick but the bar I was in just erupted when it dropped short!!! One of the best nights ever, as I'm sure it was for alot of people in Ireland ;D

All credit to Wales as well, they came back hard after our two tries.  Giving away silly penalties didn't help either but thankfully it didn't matter in the end.  O'Driscoll, O'Gara, Tommy Bowe, O'Connell and every other player in that green shirt...I love you all :D

I'm well pumped up for the reds match today.  Hopefully the euphoria is still there at 6 tonight and it'll round off a great sporting weekend, for all Irish reds especially ;) ;D
